What's his source for this information? Why haven't Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld been talking about this? Don't you think Fox News would be all over this story if there was real evidence? Some of the networks have a liberal bias, but I can't see Fox wanting to cover this up.

It was covered, hence the 24hr. statement. I suggest you try the "search" function on your computer...
It received the same amount of attention as, oh say, the story about the Clinton's administration's falsification of the last two quarter's of economic data in order to help Gore's chances of election...
I'll take arrogance and the inevitable hubris over self-doubt and lack of confidence, anyday.......

Strong reading comprehension. Why aren't the Bush administration officials talking about this instead of admitting they were wrong? Why would Fox News drop a story like this after 24 hours if it's credible? Sorry, google isn't answering those questions for me.

If there was any doubt left, I'd think President Bush would be the last one to hold out hope that we'd find the missing WMDs.

It doesn't matter how much evidence there is; people will go to their graves believing the lies that were proven false. That was my point all along. That's how public opinion works.

WMDs were not there because they were removed. The intelligence failure was that either that fact was not reported, or that it was ignored, allowing the invasion to go forward anyway, without the WMD justification. If the latter, it was similar to Germany's final decision to go to war in 1914...

I agree, and the U.N. provided them with more than enough time to do so.

If that's what you believe, I should respect that. I'm never going to convince you, and you're never going to convince me unless some new evidence comes out. I think we can agree to disagree.
I'd like to apologize to you, Old Time Lifter, and especially eomrat. I have some strong personal political beliefs, but sometimes I get so caught up in arguing a point that I make an ass of myself. I shouldn't have brought up such a loaded emotional topic in a thread about North Korea. I just need to disengage and let some sh*t go. Arguing about politics the way I've been doing it, especially on a bodybuilding site, is just as useful as criticizing someone's religious beliefs. It's stupid, and I regret it every time. I need to join Political Debating Anonymous or something.

You have not made an ass of yourself at all. You certainly owe me no apology.
I am overly emotional about this particular issue. I am very aware of that.

I do not wish to and will not comment on the political discussion here.
I will say that I did not join this site to see pics of dead people, especially dead children. If I wanted to do that I could go elsewhere, which I have no interest in doing anyway.
Some might say don't look, but the pics were in the thread with no warning.
Recently there was a pic of a toy bunny clapping cymbals deleted.
Yet pics of dead children are still here for f#ck sake.

To be fair, I ended up not reporting it. If sick people want to post sick sh*t, that's on them. It's just shows what kind of person they are... what they're made of.
I believe if we were posting pictures of slain U.S. combatants strewn unceremoniously across the ground, the outrage would have been different.
Carry on with your valuable education EOM...

I'm overly emotional about it too. I haven't been in the Army since 95, but I still have friends in the service today. I've seen what the war did to some of them. I have my own anger issues, but that anger is directed at the people responsible for starting the war. It's over now anyway. There's no point in me arguing over what could have been done differently 10 years ago. That never changes anyone's mind or accomplishes anything. That just gets everyone angry at each other.
I'm just done with it. I am hereby banning myself from future political arguments here on bodybuilding.com. I'll unban myself if and when they change the rules that ban the discussion of certain issues today.

Here's what I'm talking about:

Now you can see how this directly relates to what is happening in Syria today...

exactly, which is why on my fishing forum, I don't allow political or religious discussions....they always end up in anger between members, and you will NEVER EVER change another person's mind when it comes to these issues....
Change takes YEARS, and life experiences...it will never come from a good argument, no matter how fact supported or logical....
