People who have watched most Olympia's, when did they start mentioning Aesthetics??

Every time someone steps on stage?

Just going on last year's commentary I must of heard that word over 50 times. Has it just become so much of a buzz word that it's lost significance?

I would think since the beginning, the only reason its weird now is because of the mass monster Big Nasty era and now the word is more closely related to the Zyzz fanatics. I can't imagen that word not coming to mind when Scott, Reeves, Paris, Zane, Gaspari, and Ray just to name a few hit the stage.

Yeah, I don't ever remember them overusing it in previous years, but this past year there was heavy use of "muscle bellies" and "aesthetics".

I kind of liked previous years because they used to have an actual retired or non competing IFBB Pro who had competed in the Olympia do the color commentating et.

Layne just overused the words/terms mentioned above.

That Zyzz guy who passed (rip) also had it as his catch phrase but don't think that had any bearing on the call at the Olympia, just that it had already been used by that bloke across several different social medias et. so people maybe already tired of hearing it before the O...

Tom Platz uses the word "aesthetic" in "The Battle For 88'" when they are doing the weigh-in.

I think it was used a lot with Frank Zane. He won the O once upon a time in the late 70's.

Actually it has always been used in bodybuilding, pro ofc. But as of late it has been more and more pronounced because of Phil winning the o Shaun exploding to the top 3 and dexters ultimate comeback.

But I agree that damn term is overused, Everytime I see a skinny runt wannabe with Zyzz hair. All that soab is yappin about is "athtethicz" "I don't thquat cuth I wanna thtay athtethicc" morons..
