    The pump.

Before anything I apologize if I've put this in the wrong subforum.

Anyway, I've been working out for close to 4 months now, feel good, got some nice gains, but lately I've been noticing I don't get the same pump while working out as I used to. Is this normal? Because getting a good pump is something I enjoy very much
("i cum at home with my girlfriend, i cum at the gym, i cum all day, pump is like cumming" nah just kidding but still I would like to get that pump back).
    Any ideas?

After your working sets, do a lower weight, high rep burnout set really focusing on contracting the muscle at the top of the rep. It won't do much for you gains wise, but you should get that pump you're after.

But I don't wanna do something that will be detrimental to my gains. Is getting a pump all that important in for getting some gains or not?

I didn't say it would hurt your gains bud. I said it won't likely do anything for them, they won't make you "hyooge" like a normal rep/set scheme but won't be detrimental either.

Thats why you do your normal sets/reps to build muscle first, then top it off with a burnout set for the pump.
    It's mostly for pump.

I can make an assumption here. You're doing the same movements as you were back then, just not getting the same pump?

Your muscles have likely gotten used to the movement, or the pace you're doing them at, or the weight you're using etc.

I'm focusing on the compound movements. And lately I've been doing them at a much slower pace (3-1-3). You think I should lay off from all those exercises and try to find some new ones?

Could be a number of reasons. Inadequate nutrition and/or sleep can affect the pump you achieve.

Bottom line though, is if progression is still evident in your workouts, the lack of a pump is rendered pretty much irrelevant.
    No brain, no gain.
