I do abs 1x a week, sometimes 2. I do hanging leg raises, planks (both flat and side), and weighted abs with the tricep rope. Between these and squats/deads/military... im good

Sorry if this is old news to you, but I want to make sure you're aware: all the ab exercises in the world won't make a difference if your bodyfat percentage is too high. Exercises will give you size and definition; diet will make them visible.

personally Ill hit my abs once a week in the off season. Contest prep Ill do abs twice a week. If your doing heavy compound movements your core is always involved so you don't need to hit abs much. Just when you do hit them hard and lay off them, that and abs are made in the kitchen also! Hope I could be some help!

in my opinion it's gotta be the hanging leg raise. but i have a lot of ab exercises that i like doing. when i'm in contest prep mode, i do abs every day, but thats just me and what works for my body. in the off-season i'll do abs 3 times a week at most. and i try to switch up the exercises to not do the same ones all the time. keep it interesting because as we all know, ab training is very boring. also, be sure to treat your abs like any other muscle group. meaning, use resistance and weight to train them. yeah you can use bodyweight exercises, but dont be afraid to add some weight.

Sounds very much like by 3-per-week novice routine. The only additional exercise I do is russian twists on the decline bench, since doing that with a heavy weight really hits the obliques hard. I typically stay away from any sit up motion, as I've heard many times that sit ups aren't great for the back, though I still do the multiple crunch variations.

If you do any one abs exercise, it will train the six-pack, pretty good.

Incorporate deadlifts and squats into your ab routine, so good for your core. As stated above your BF% need's to be low to see that definition so keep that diet as clean as you can!
