    Question about Biceps

Before my workout my arms are small, As soon as i finish my workout they are huge i mean at least a 20% increase in mass in my arms. However, later that night or the next morning my arms are normal size again, is there a way for me to keep my arms at that increased size? Will that happen overtime? is it showing me my max arm size? etc.. just curious about it, I am new to weight training and wanting to get a lot bigger in mass.

Also, i take creatine and whey protein. both optimum nutrition.

    thanks for the help!

First off I recommend you going to the 35 and older thread. It just looks weird you being here... but to answer your question. That's just a "pump". Your muscles are engorged with blood. Once the blood rush leaves your arms return to normal. Just keep lifting.

You can get your arms that size by eating more.
    Squat: 202.5kg | 446lbs
    Bench: 125kg | 275lbs
    Deadlift: 235kg | 518lbs

Yes you can get your arms to that size, you just need to eat in a surplus and continue to add weight to the bar over time.

The reason they look bigger after working out is because blood rushes into them, and makes them look bigger. It's called a pump, and it's temporary.

Stop only worrying about your biceps. If your 19 @ 143 lbs, you need serious mass, and all around mass, not just in your arms. Best advice you'll get.

i completely agree with that, the entire reason im weight lifting is to attempt to gain mass. however.. the pump i noticed in my biceps was more noticeable than any other part of my body, which is why i chose to use my biceps as an example of the pump.
