Who in your opinion do you think is the Strongest man who ever lived??
well personally my opinion might take this to an argue but mariusz pudzianowski i think is the strongest man who evr lived and this is becuase a few good reasons,,,,he has won the WSM competion four times and will win more no doubt , and i personally totally disagree that arnold strongman is bigger then the WSM competetion thats played on ESPN and it takes much work to get to that level and then go through qualifications ..while arnold classic competetion is an invite and mariusz gets invited like evry year and barley goes ,, much like others ,,dont forget an invitation is asking you if you would compete with us for sponsoring Arnold Classic, while WSM is everything with more types of competetion and longer process. And Mariusz personal lifts are all high and raw with a 615 pound bench,, 850 squat,,,and a big now 930 deadlift raw almost in a record postion. also mariusz has 7 records in strongman events ,,so yes he has many records but no powerlifting record but hes all raw.. and i hate hearing zydrunas is stronger then mariusz, not close pudz has proved it beating him in WSM competetions 2002, mariusz gold..zydrunas silver...2003,mariusz gold,,zydrunas silver and he was killing him in points not even close look it up and they do more and bvasically the same events in Arnold competetion.. and after that zydrunas like had with WSM and stayed with IFS. and pudz will kill in IFS i hate wen ppl say he wouldnt if you look at the weight and times they get ..omg pudz destroys because hes so fast and athletic and obviously strong

If what I see does not amaze me, I am not looking hard enough.

hands down, Zydrunas Savickas is the strongest person alive...ask any strongmen out there and they'll say ZYDRUNAS is the strongest person alive...
kevin nee (WSM competitor) mentioned that Mariusz is the best strength athlete of our time?.notice he did not say the strongest man of our time and mentioned Zydrunas is the strongest man of our time.
if its based on endurance then yes Mariusz will win but based on the strongest, Zydrunas.....
Mariusz wouldn't even placed top 5 in IFSA....
What many people don't realize is that the WSM finals do not have all the top competitors. There are two federations but people in the USA rarely hear about the second one being the IFSA. The top 4-6 guys in the IFSA could win the WSM over Mariusz on any given day.

zydrunas or andy bolton is a toss up. Considering zydrunas upper body is probably significantly more powerful then boltons, i voted for zydrunas

This thread reminds me of an article in an old Powerlifting USA magazine. Here is how that particular writer (Dr. Judd) ranked the "The Five Greatest Strength Athletes of All Time". Of course these types of questions are open to debate.
1. Paul Anderson
2. Vasily Ivanovich Alekseyev
3. Mariusz Pudzianowski (*Can possibly increase in ranking)
4. Bill Kazmaier
5. Magnus Ver Magnusson
To rank these guys, you cannot simply go by who is/was the strongest in one particular event/lift. You must look from a lager perspective, and to objectively do this, you must know a bit about that lifter (other than his 1RMs) I have complete details and reasons why for each particular person, if someone is interested.Last edited by iron619; 05-18-2008 at 10:49 PM.

Another vote for Big Z.

the internet is so flippin kewl. i would love to see a 44yr old man yell like a big baby at a 19yr old kid in real life. that would really be a sight to see.
same with scrawny teens telling huge roided jacked dudes to STFU, how great would it be to see an altercation like that at like the Coffee Bean? maybe some day....If what I see does not amaze me, I am not looking hard enough.
