    grip problem

had a couple of bad workouts in a row and got fed up cause of the issue of using lower weight. my backworkout consist of deadlifts,bb rows, cable/dumbell rows and then lat pulldowns, all 4 sets all 8~12 reps, my forearms die after deadlift, and cause of this my weights i pull in other lifts and gripping performance is lowered drastically, and instead of going thru the excersize thinking about back, all i can do is use my last strength to grip the bar and getting the movement over with, thus i feel as if my back wasnt really being worked on. any tips or excersizes i can do to help my gripping endurance?

I need help on my deadlift grip too. Gloves, straps, and chalk all treat the symptom but not the problem of a weak grip.

Trying doing static holds to strengthen your grip, plus some other forearm exercises like wrist curls to build some forearm strength.

I just bought some straps because I had a similar problem with grip, the handles for back movements were usually thick rubber grips which were a bitch to hold, and my hands are fairly large.
Feeling my back being worked like never before.

straps bro. i use straps for all back workouts because of this. forearms WILL give out before your back if you do heavy weights

straps are essentially taking out a lot of the secondary muscles that's required to do the lift which is the forearms. but you're still working the main muscle group.

Hmm you need to work on forearm strength. Straps might help also.

I used straps for a long time on all my back exercises, Then i realized my forearms were lacking because i really never used them. Once i started to work them out with biceps, I lost the straps and I could grip throughout my entire back workout.

I still use straps on really heavy back lifts, just dont come dependent on them like alot of people do.

Also they sell hook things, check the store on this website! they have alot of straps and hook grip supporters.

Get Fat Gripz or just wrap a towel around a pull-up bar and do pull-ups. You can use this for any pulling exercise. Also, if you're using a push/pull split and going 4x a week, deadlift only on one of the pull sessions. That way your grip is rested on the other workout and you can work your back better.

Plate pinches can help. Deadlift with straps after your grip gives out. Do grip work on more frequently about 3x a week

depends on the shapes and sizes of the plates at your gym find something that works. wrist curls and that sort of thing wont help your grip at all.
