My avatar picture was taken just before I started working out, and the attached photo was taken three weeks after (yesterday.) I only spend about 15 minutes in the gym each day, but am already seeing gains. I want to stack on about 15 pounds of muscle by this time next year and drop about 4 percent body fat.

Hi, SdvsB. I usually knock out a set of deadlifts or rack pulls, and a couple sets of farmers walks, and a set of pull ups on back day. A set or two of squats, or leg presses with calf presses on leg day. On chest day I perform two sets of incline bench press, and two sets of dips. Sometimes I will go in and do only three sets of farmers walks -- I go heavy as I can while walking the length of the gym twice.

Bro, right HERE you're already better than 90% of the people in this world. Recovering from such a thing and you're still MANNING UP and hitting the gym like a boss, even if it's just 15 mins you make it count and are going to recover/progress to fully hitting the gym. So keep up the great work bro, dedication + passion! I like that.
On a real note however, in ONE year to gain the amount of muscle you're wishing, naturally i hope, and if you keep your gym time always at 15 mins due to the condition above will be not doable. Adjust your goals and make them more realistic so when you're not there next year you don't give up.
Anyway, keep up the push bro!
