How is godaddy horrible with hosting? I can understand the interface, but that just takes some getting used to.

Just did if for my hostgator account that I have just switched over to. Only sharing with 150 sites. Pretty good.

I added an explanation to that post after so check it out. Overpopulated servers in my (and many others) experience. Makes site loading slow. You with them now man? Check how many other sites are on the same server as you by doing a reverse ip check. Many sites will do this for you so just Google it.

I just realized that the domain name I bought through godaddy a few days ago says : "Transfer locked until 4/6/2013." I wonder if that means I won't be able to transfer over to hostgator for 60 days. Anyone know the answer to this?

That's just the domain name. Godaddy is fine for that so leave it with them. Then set up you host gator hosting and put your site up there. Then just add the dns of your host account to your domain name at godaddy and you are good.

I actually made that with an online Facebook cover photo creator. The font/design just stood out, so I decided to use that on the website as well.

go with the wix one. I also made my site using wix and I love how easy it is to edit my site or update info.. plus the bonus stuff you get for signing up is nice and helps with traffic. I had over 1200 page views in 1 month from using the 75$ facebook ad voucher!

Very well designed website, adairtrainer! But ugghh...the more research I do and the more reviews I read, the harder the decision becomes. Some love Wix and some hate it!

I got a domain name from godaddy and bought hosting from hostgator. Unfortunately, my original site here : http://jaxpersonaltraining.wordpress.com/ can't seem to be duplicated with the installed Wordpress software on Hostgator. Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer the wordpress site in its exact form to hostgator?
