the type where you stand with two dumbbells in either hands and raise them upward and then downward again till your shoulder level
I heard lifting weight this way tend to stunt /shorten your height
I am 23 yr old male , 5'5" in height ...
I don't wanna lose a cm , infact it would be great if I could just add a few more inches ...
So please suggest me any exercises that could possibly add an inch or few !

That isn't a military press. that is Standing Dumbbell overhead press.
Military press is a particular overhead press variant. It is a Standing Barbell Overhead Press with your heels touching.
To answer your real question: No, it will not stunt your growth. If you're done growing, then there isn't anything you can do to get taller. Sorry to say.-

Stunt growth? No. For most people lifting won't affect height at all. Some powerlifters who lift crazy amounts of weight, over the course of a whole career will lose a few cm in height, but we're talking about people squatting and deadlifting many hundreds of pounds over the course of a decade plus. If you ever get to that level of fitness, you're not going to care anymore.
Cliffs: don't worry about it and just lift the weightFormer member of the > 300 lb crew

well to be honest i'm not quite sure why you'd be standing and doing db military presses. why not just sit on a bench and have back support? i sometimes do barbell military presses standing up, but even then i dont go as heavy as i would if i was sitting down, i do them at the end of a workout to just burn it out. but to answer your question, it wont make you shorter, but any small tweak could hurt or seriously injure your back if you're not careful. so i would recommend you sit down and play it safe.
