    gym won't let me do DL

    my gym doesn't allow me do deadlift until i'm 18 (i'm 17) with proper weight, my personal trainer only lets me use 30 kg. wut do?

    He is a f*cking idiot. Your growth plates won't be closed at 18 either.
    + Not to mention, you won't damage your growth plates with weight lifting, unless you actually snap a bone in half.


    Lift with good form and you won't have an issue.

    can you link me anything to read about proper deadlifting? i watch videos but since i'm italian i don't understand everything i listen

    Find other gym
    or just deadlift add weight when they arent looking
    or make an argument talk to the staff there help them understand that many 15 years olds pulled 5 plates easily before.
