I'm 14 and I play football, I really need to have a large strength increase this year. So I'm wondering whats best for me? I'm on a great training plan I'm just missing the supplement. So whay should I take? Both? Or just one. Don't say I'm too young because everyone on my team is stronger then me just because they take supplements...

All protein is used for is getting your daily amount of protein in if you don't get enough in a day. So lets just say 180 lb man is trying increase his muscle mass he would take around 180 grams of protein. He gets 150 from regular food and realizes that he does not have enough calories to fit in his caloric goal or any meat left to eat. He would take a scoop a whey to reach around 180 grams of protein. Now creatine will help you increase strength it will help you push 1-2 more reps in a set that you would usually do. If you wanna get stronger just eat more and better food choices, also if your "really" want to take something a multivitamin I have seen some strength gains from it. You are young, you just need to eat.

There is no need for supplements? Protein powder is making everyone stronger that you?! No, eat a chicken breast and it'll have the same effect. It's not a magic powder it's a food. Creatine is making everyone stronger than you? No, it helps some, but isn't going to give you crazy gains. You want creatine? Go eat some beef.
Eat food and lift hard. Supplements aren't "cool" to take. It's an ergogenic aid to help a solid diet and work out regime.Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Train hard and eat like an animal. Protein shakes won't make you any stronger than a gormet burger. As for creatine say away from it for a few more years. You have to put in your time like everyone else there are no magic powders that will turn you into superman. You've got an early start don't let the bigger guys on your team make you feel less of yourself, when you've got a few years of lifting under your belt it will show. Just have patience and push yourself, you already have the tools to grow!

Strongly agree.
Let your buddies take their supps. Waste of money and won't help you since you are at your prime. You should be getting bigger and stronger just by eating whole foods.
Don't rebuttal back with "but my friends do it". We don't care about your friends. We care about you.
So eat like a beast, work out hard, and play hard.Retired 74kg PL Open Division (3 meets)

Like stated above eat lift rest and start over, you don't need supps at your age. Try not to compare yourself to what others are doing, set goals and as you reach them, set new ones and you'll progress with proper nutrition and a solid routine.
