just curious as to what you guys pay for an average FFL transfer, i found a pawn shop/gun & gold place that is doing mine for 15, seems really cheap.

Rejection is part of life and if you go around avoiding it, then you aren't going to realize everything this universe has to offer. The quick, sharp pain of rejection you feel is a very momentary fleeting feeling that will disappear. The pain of "what if", however, can last a life time

$10 but I'm going to go elsewhere from now on after tomorrow. Guy I have been using is welching on the 2nd agreement we had in order to make more money so his business can die. Worst part is that he's losing 90% of his clientele by screwing over his co-workers and word of mouth going around from it. I'll gladly deal with someone I like and pay an extra $15 knowing that he's not going to go back on his word about ish

Honestly if you could get it for that your money would be safe imo. Hell I think you could shoot it for a little bit even and get your money back at least if you didn't plan on flipping it on gunbroker right away.
Another option would armlist it as a bargaining chip for an AR or AK.*Misc Firearms Crew Illuminati*

What happened?
My go to FFL charges $25, but they usually waive it or only charge $10 because I've sent so many people their way. When I tried to buy my first gun a store wanted $75 for a transfer (and I only asked because they were selling basic RIA 1911's for $800). Did a 360 and walked out. I'm still thankful I didnt get ripped off by those jokers (out of business now)
You guys with $10 xfers and no NICS fee are lucky. You can pretty much tack $50 on to any online price + shipping... a $25 xfer and $25 background fee here in NV.

I have a co-worker who is just starting out as a dealer on the side. Early December me and about 5 others told him we wanted some Pmags (pry 5 a piece) and he quoted us $13/mag and ordered them. Sandy Hook happened and he told all of us that he couldn't sell us them for $13 and that we can still have them but just for $50 apiece. Dec 15th I call him and ask him if I can use him to do a transfer for a stag lower, basically just tossing him $10 for essentially doing nothing (this was before we heard about the mag situation). He said sure but said that he'll order them since he might get a discount so I said whatever, go ahead. Lets me know that he ordered 3 rifles and 3 lowers and quoted him a month to six weeks, I said cool I'll take 2 lowers, he agrees for 119 plus tax per. Over the last 5 weeks he's been saying I could forget about them since he doesn't think they're coming in, I keep telling him "nah, I'll just wait it out, they'll get here". Well he texted me thursday and said he has a surprise on monday, says the lowers are coming in but I only get one. I ask why only one? He replies with "You should be happy you're even getting one, I'm giving the other to my dad and selling the 3rd. It will be a year before I can get them again." He knows I'm pissed and says "Sorry you're mad you're getting a lower, I figured you would be ecstatic you're getting one, I could have just lied and said I never got them in but that's not the type of person I am."
Keep in mind he's probably going to make 2k off the rifles that I hooked him up with, he had told me several times beforehand that he couldn't find anything until I told him Stag had some stuff in stock.MFC Illuminati

agreed. I'm not a huge AR fan but I knew that eventually I'd like to have one in my collection so that's why I bought it. I'd be lying if I said I didn't already have plans for the 2nd lower...mind you they did not involve selling
If possible I would have and put the meat-spin URL in the comment
