Parts did come in stock at BCM.

I just ordered an H buffer, a couple buffer springs (carbine action springs), and a mil-spec receiver extension/buffer tube...all of which I'm pretty sure were out of stock until just recently.

But it is factually incorrect to call it mil-spec when it is not. A mil-spec buffer tube, for example, is 7075 aluminum, not 6061. That's one of the ways PSA appeals to so many people. They think they are getting "mil-spec" when they are not.

Not that there's anything wrong with not being mil-spec, but the term does mean something and a lot of people think a lot of things meet the spec when they do not. In this case a mil-spec buffer tube would be stronger than the PSA "mil spec diameter" buffer tube. Will the difference matter? Probably not. Is it worth the difference in cost? Depends on who you ask.

But we should at least deal in accurate information when possible

PS: Shrubmaster and RRA make mil-spec rifles? None of the ones I looked at were mil-spec. Again, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them, but let's not just throw that term around for no reason. And Shrubmaster mil-spec? lulwhat?

Oh, and being from the same manufacturer doesn't mean it's the same thing. Seriously now...come on.

Dont Farley me brah, I was asking a question. I wouldn't be surprised if most of these companies (Shrub, Spikes, RRA, PSA, etc) are all having standard parts like LPKs made by the same manufacturer and private labeling them. For standard components, it would make no sense to have separate lines for each one. Economies of scale.

I am just wondering if there is any truth to my suspicions. Ultimately, I'm wondering if my private labeled "mil-spec" (as its labeled) LPK is worthy of a home in my new lower. I want to build something nice.

Is there much variation between a "good" LPK and a bad one? I am talking standard parts, not SS triggers or anything.
