Every night you decide to stay in your room is another night you remain miserable. I am staying in tonight, but at least I am going to the gym. Hopefully, you will eventually learn that you need to step out of your comfort zone for anything to change. Change will not come to you. YOU need to make things happen. This is something I learned the hard way. Stop the self loathing and go do something about it.
Nobody likes to see you make these threads every friday night.

hey man have you tried going to counseling? i've worked with counselors on my social anxiety and its pretty helpful. just talking to someone about it will help, you have to start reaching out.
likely what you'll end up doing is seeing the counselor every week or every two weeks and make goals of things to do between the meetings such as going to events and trying out new things socially/exposure therapy etc. at least in canada the counseling is free for students so try to take advantage of it while you can. once you leave college, making friends/meeting girls will NOT be any easier than it is now.roasted like evah

In my heart he did. I will always root for this brah.
I always hoped that you would stop posting here MiscVirgin69. That you'd go outside, play a sport, find a girlfriend. I have this fantasy, you see. That one friday night I would be out on the town and stop by this little bar to grab a pint, and I'd see you there with a 5/10. I'd recognize you by the squats and oats. You wouldn't say anything to me, nor I to you, but we'd both know... that you'd moved on. Instead you sit in your damned cave making forever alone threads and crying about feels.

do they make you accountable for small incremental goals between each session? you have to start somewhere and it isn't going to happen overnight. at this rate, with consistent work, it'll prolly take at least a good 6 months of solid effort for some noticeable gains.
do you use the breathing techniques whenever you are feeling anxiety/in social situations?roasted like evah
