If Harbaugh thought Kaepernick was that much better than Smith, he wouldn't have started Smith at the beginning of the season.

Niners thought they'd be rematching the Giants this postseason, and Alex does not do well against the Giants. If Niners didnt get buttraped by the Giants earlier this season, the red flags probably wouldnt have been raised. THey needed a new weapon to beat Eli (lol).
