    MHP's Paleo Protein

    Another new supplement from MHP

Nobody has jumped on the Crossfit trend more than MHP after their release of X-Fit Power and X-Fit Trainer. They may have been gimmicky supplements but they were the first formulas to be directed at the sport's community, and made by a major market brand. The company didn't manage to lose their direction by still maintaining a competitive bodybuilding line of products with releases like 8 Hour Alert, Myo-X, and Dopamite.

MHP are looking to continue their Crossfit connection with the release of possibly one of the most easily sold proteins available. While most formulas are okay for the paleo diet, none of them make the statement any where near as much as MHP's new Paleo Protein. Highlights include all natural flavoring, and no artificial sweeteners, sugar, fat, gluten or lactose. Making up the supplement's facts label is a relatively small 20g of protein with two feature forms, beef and pure egg white protein.

The two flavors Paleo Protein will have on it's menu are traditional chocolate, and a gourmet vanilla almond. The tubs look to be coming in the one 2lb size, each fitting in 28 servings. Although as mentioned above, it does only pack 20g of protein per scoop. Which puts the overall amount of protein per tub at a poor total of 560g. Compared to something like Muscle Pharm's much cheaper protein Combat. With a total of 675g of protein per 2lb tub, as well as a larger 4lb option available with twice the servings and an even stronger price point.

The product will be going on sale this Friday through the brand's direct store, with shipping starting the following Monday. MHP have given it a launch price of $40 which we can only pray is not the cost fans can look forward when it hits retailers.

I might look into this one since I have avoided MHP'S protein blend because the first ingredient
is soy which I don't feel should be included any protein blends.

Dude here is my problem with your post.

    1. a company dedicating their product line to a gimmicky/fad diet isn't a good thing.
    2. dedicating a product line to an extreme sport that pays other athletes to say the use their exercise program isn't a good thing.
    3. You can buy bulk pea protein for 5.50 a pound and flavor it what ever flavor you want.

The post was never intending to take either side, good or bad. Do apologize if it came off in favor of a particular way. To be honest, anybody who is anyone will know most proteins are Paleo good. The fact that this sits at a launch price of $40 for a 2lb is a little bit ridiculous, no argument there. The post was purely informative, but if there was an honest side to be taken it would be against. Pasting Paleo on a tub of protein is similar to labeling something a women's supplement or ripped protein.
