Because maltodextrin is a polysaccharide, also known as a glucose polymer, it’s technically a complex carbohydrate. However, don’t be fooled by this “complex” exterior: the bonds between the glucose units of maltodextrin are actually weak, and the chain is very short. This results in a much faster digestion and absorption rate than would be expected, and in fact, it’s absorbed just slightly slower than dextrose (aka, glucose).
Therefore, physiologically, maltodextrin acts much like dextrose in its digestion and absorption capabilities.
Depending on its processing, when maltodextrin is tasted by the tongue, it can be either moderately sweet
dude, go take a spoonful of malto - tell me how moderately sweet it is.

Realize that most people with an affiliation to a supplement company in their signature have ulterior motives when making recommendations. They're primarily concerned with pushing their products. Not your safety or what's best for you.
Would you mind throwing up a pic with an open tub, so everyone can see what Phase8 is working with (powder consistency in tub, etc)? Highly appreciate it.

You asked if that was the scoop, and i have now posted 3 different pictures to show you that it what i received.
I'll say it again...I know you opened it and yes you saw the scoop (not sure why opening it is the be deal) and I see it's much different. Have other experienced this.

I dont know if others have experienced this because it is a brand new product that was just released and updated in the store.
I have gotten products in the past from various companies with no scoop in the tub and it has happened to others on this forum (there are threads about it via search). Manufacturing/Production can have problems/error's.
Lot number is below for ya:

I can understand general concern with some past historical items taken into context, which generally explains some of the behavior ITT, but I'm curious as to why we're worried about a manufacturer's scooper usage and its consistency.
Really impressed with the direction that MuscleTech has taken their line in the last two years or so, it's been a noticeable improvement and I think they deserve enormous credit for putting together some pretty good formulas even when the old CellTech and NitroTech were probably still making damn good money.

Well said Wade. Also thanks for the pat on the back to MT. The team here works extremely hard and although it's what every company is saying, we are really going to be bringing it in 2013. This new direction is here to stay and we're constantly looking at improving the entire process be it formulations, flavoring, sampling etc.
Wade, I want to be clear I did not or was not bashing MT...I wrote in my reviews and have stated that MT's Phase 8 is very good. Taste, texture, mixability are all wonderful. My chick asked me if I plan to get more of the Vanilla because she makes it into a pudding "treat". I was just overall curious. I know nothing of a historical but I also joined the forums a short time ago.
Jake will most likely be at the booth (as he told me via PM), and i am best friends with one of their IFBB Pro's Seth Feroce (who i went to college with and who i trained with my entire college career). I have pictures of Seth and I throughout college, you should see the transformation this guy went through and then the year after he graduated he won the Mr. Pittsburgh, started with Hany and then won his IFBB Pro Card. What a very bright future for a young star they have on their line as an athlete.
just to be clear...your claim is that you are BEST FRIENDS with Seth Feroce...I just want to be clear on that
EDIT: I'm with Wade though...for a long time, MT was the butt of many a Cell-Tech joke, but it's clear they've shifted the direction of the company and have obviously invested obscene amounts of money in revamping their whole lineup with much improved products, which is admirable.
