That and learn to pace yourself. About 99.9999999% of people in the military don't seem to understand this concept or how to apply it but act like they know **** because way back when they ran track while now barely running low 13's.
On a running note: Deploy to Afghanistan, live above 7000 ft for 9 months and continue to run daily. Come home and troll folks who didn't in a two mile.US Army

question: Does anyone know about how long it takes for a Soldier to get a government travel card? One of my Soldiers is scheduled for a school. In Pennsylvania, school has no transportation, Soldier pays for own meals, and own lodging. He is a new Specialist. The school is 10 days.
also, speaking of PT runs... my brother just ran it in 13:30 and he is 240 lbs.

i want to become one someday, when i get into a decent sized house.
all i have so far is a HTPC i built a few weeks back. and i still need a wireless keyboard/moue for it
my decade old computer speakers/subwoofer will get hooked up and i'll install a bluray drive so i can watch the hobbit tomorrow.
tv sucks 42 in, but it's 1080p at least. it was just some cheapo i got while in school so i could upgrade from my old fat tv, also about a decade old, lol
when i get my wireless mouse/keyboard i think i'll load up red alert 2 and play on my couch☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ ★cVc★ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

That's pretty much the plan. Paulp will come over and bring his blu-ray copy of Brokeback Mountain and a box of tissues...for the tears.
I really wish the room I'm turning into the theater was bigger, it's barely big enough to do what I want. There is nothing wrong with old speakers, literally nothing major has changed with speaker technology in the last 20 years. All of my speakers are getting to be about 25 years old, and I can guarantee you one pair of them will decimate anything Best Buy has. The 6 floorstanding speakers i own also set me back only $450 total. New stuff in some areas is great, but in other areas it's a complete waste of money...BRB spending $3,000 at Best Buy and having Schnit's $350 receiver/speakers blow the brand new purchase out of the water.
Right now my receiver isn't as nice as I wanted. I've got a Denon 1912 (craigslist for $200) which I "upgraded" from a nice Yamaha 5990 (bought and sold for $300) because the Yamaha didn't handle 1080p passthrough, and I need an OSD since my A/V equipment is located elsewhere in the house. The 1912 is a decent amp, but it doesn't have a lot of power (thankfully I run Klipsch mains, which are very efficient). Once the theater is done I'll be running the front 2 mains off my Adcom amp so the other 3 speakers have all the power they need.
I don't yet have the projector. I've done a fair amount of research and it looks like if I run all my wiring to ~12' back from the screen it should be in a spot where just about any projector can adjust for. I might pick out a projector before I seal up the ceiling.“I play real sports…not trying to be the best at exercising.” -Kenny Powers

Pretty much this. Request your S1 get the soldier a travel advance. Since DTS already computes the estimated cost of the trip it should be able to pay out most expenses the soldier will incur. Then they'll have some work to do on the backend to make sure that the docs submitted to DTS marry up with the payments made.

Hmmm... I put my request in last April... and still waiting. The best part is I send a follow up email every three weeks or so to my command.
I also get to hear about how I need a gov't travel card from my command at our weekly conference calls. I don't get it.

Just slept 17 hours, LOL. Strong tired considering 1) This SERE challenge wasn't anywhere near as hard as the first. and 2) I only spent half of it as a competitor, and the other half as an instructor, lulz.
Will give more cliffs later. Now that I'm out of hibernation I need to find food.
