why does everyone who is clearly NOT a 90's kid, claim to be one?

as a TRUE 90's kid myself, its fascinating that so many people want to be known as a 90's kid.

being a 90's kid means:

that in 1990, you were AT LEAST 7 years old...which translates to being 16 yrs old in 1999.


This is where we draw the line:

if you were LESS THAN 16 years old in 1999: you are NOT a 90's kid, never will be. FACT.


That MEANS: IF YOU WERE BORN AFTER 1983... You are NOT a TRUE 90's kid.

based on what i've read in this thread, i'm officially changing the OFFICIAL POSITION on what the facts state.

The NEW border line is 1984. If you were born AFTER 1984, you might be a LATE-90's kid. (but not a TRUE 90's kid)

Every 90's thread I see with old toys/tv shows/food/whatever, I almost always recognize 95% of them, and the other 5% is likely just due to those things not being in my interest (pc games for example). This whole 90's kid thing is retarded, I was born in 80 and consider myself a 80's/early 90's kid. If you were born in say 90 you're obviously not going to remember the early 90's but from about 95 on you were a kid in the 90's so it's all so silly. My only issue with all this nostalgia stuff is people saying they remember doing such and such when they were 2 or 3 etc... No one has more then a flash memory at that age, once 1st grade hits maybe kindergarten then you can talk about your childhood but don't come at me with memories before you could read English and were still crapping in your diaper.
