Thanks for the compliment, man! BUT, I don't think these old shoulders will take 600 raw any more. I did go 545 raw to a 3 board couple weeks ago.

Smelly, I am definetely going to Cincinatti. Some of my team is lifting. I MAY lift there. It depends on my last 2 sessions, and if they have any spots left.
That meet is a PRO / AM. The top lifters in the country will be there. 1000+ lbs squats, 900 lbs benches, 800+ deadlifts.

Going 775 in 2 weeks.... Maybe 800 will come this year???
Enough shameless promotion.... I just couldn't keep it to myself. LOL
Training partners asked me how it felt. "Better than some sex I've had". SRS!
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot. Backed it up with a drop set. Hit 675 for a triple...
Good lord! When I grow up, I wanna be like you.

and I was about to post breaking the 300 bench mark.
Who cares though, right? It's all about personal bests, gains, and achievements!
Nice job. 545 is respectable, regardless of bad shoulders. Insane. I can't imagine what 700 feels like. What goes through your head when you pick up that weight?

Damn, so you're saying that you get 200lbs from a shirt?

After 3 years of working in shirts, yes. It isn't uncommon. Some get much more.

It has changed over the last year. At first it was like " OHH SH$T". My health, strength and confidence have gotten better, so now it is more like "PUNK WEIGHT".
And then I sit up seeing stars..... COOL! lol

Darn impressive! Same age, half your size, but at 52 could never imagine my worn out shoulders and pecs hoisting my old personal bests. That is some great work! Good luck at the upcoming competitions.

Awesome.
Just typing in a post titled "750 bench tonight" must have felt pretty damn good!

This is one reason I started shirt lifting. I can still go relatively heavy raw, but the wear on my shoulders would eventually put me out of competitive lifting.
