    Exclamation Eating at BMR - Discuss

    has anybody here eaten at there bmr and lost weight? what was your experience? did you have energy?

    im tryin to lose weight and im getting frustrated lately ....so i said hmm what happens if i only eat my BMR? ( is that safe,is it doable?)
    this website said my Bmr is 2075
    im 6 feet 229 llbs i jog 30mins or 15 mins everyday.

    im thinking of eating my bmr. im not sure if its safe though. im watching this thread before i eat again.
    i really need help. any advice would be appreciated.

    It's not a good idea to keep caloric intake to BMR, especially if your activity factor is reasonably high, as an acute deficit is associated with lots of bad things.

    I did it for some time, felt like **** . never eat at bmr.

    why complicate things.. if you're tracking and not losing.. take 100-200 cals out of your daily diet and see what happens

    another tip -- cut carbs by half a cup to a cup daily

    another tip -- double your cardio some days

    another tip -- post what you're actually consuming next time so we could actually help you. if you're TDE is 2200 and your BMR is 2075 then you should be eating BELOW your BMR. BMR you calculated online means nothing.. it's probably not even accurate in your case as normal diet is 200cals and you're not THAT tall.

    There's so much wrong with your post that the OP should just ignore it entirely.

    For example, in what plausible scenario could TDEE be ~5% above BMR?

    these are some good tips so far my calories are @ 1250 today , i should eat more so i will have energy to work out then.
