Do all pros eat multiple meals?
Pretty much as the title says. Do all proffessional bodybuilders eat around 4-6, 6-8 meals per day?
I'm just wondering cause I read that timing is irrelevent but I'm trying to keep a good physique at the moment while getting bigger and maybe someday I'll do bodybuilding but I'm not sure if it really makes the difference.

It's different for a pro who's on a boat load of hormones who needs to regulate stuff like insulin and blood pressure etc. Also more meals will give you better energy levels throughout the day. For your average lifter who's natural meal composition has no effect on body composition.

The biggest issue is when you have to eat as many calories as pro's do, eating all your calories is 1-2 meals isn't convenient. So regardless of meal timing, etc..the fact is its easier to eat 6k calories a day with 5+ meals than 1 or 2

This exactly! To get the amount of calories in required It would be very hard to eat in a couple meals.

Well, start putting zero energy into figuring out meal timing and meal frequency, and all energy into eating correct amount of macro and micronutrients. Meal frequency will take care of itself when you know what foods you want to eat and how much of them.

This is why intermittent fasting was such a failure for me. It fit my schedule nicely but I just couldn't eat enough food in my "non-fasting" time.

yes all the vids you see of them eating multiple meals is bs...they only eat breakfast lunch and dinner. according to the bbing.com geniuses!!! LMAO
and when i trained in the same gym as Matt Duval.. and Rich Gaspari owned ( and trained with him multiple times ) and they used to bring in loads of tupperware meals of food for the day..
it was all bs they threw them away and only ate like 3 meals...SMH.
science backs that up i read it on the internet.

You are truly an idiot and lack basic comprehension. Please post a quote from the other thread where anyone claimed that the pros didn't eat 6 meals or lied about how often they ate. I'll patiently wait.
Work harder, smarter, and longer - overtraining is simply a state of mind.

lol...i love the comments on here., if your really looking to find out what and how much they eat, just ask them, there's at least 3 pro's on here that you can easily ask, you have Lee Priest, Stan Mcquay and Joe Palumbo that always answer questions, i usually go to Joe

Rep Back 500+
After your post I focused on more what Jay is eating, from what he has on the kitchen top has anyone noticed that he does not have enough water??, a 500ml bottle of water would not be enough with that big bowl of oats and the fried stuff. Everyone knows Americans prefer coffee to tea, so lets assume the red and black mug has coffee in it, coffee will not dehydrate Cutler, it only has a mild diuretic effect but nor will it hydrate his body. . - RommyRomboid

What do you think happens to the other nutrients? They disappear? Digestion and nutrient absorption is a long process.

Exactly this, insulin plays a big role on how they are going to layout their diet if they want the effects of insulin to maximize their gains. They cant just for example eat all their food at once and take a **** load of insulin and expect it to be the same as spreading out their insulin usage (however they may do that) and spreading out their food intake to maximize the effects of the insulin and muscle building. As well help minimize the negative effects such as intra abdominal fat storage.
