Upper chest too. Had to do a lot of incline work.

my chest is fine overall, but I only really started to fully engage the clavicular head since I started doing guilliotine bench.

errthing but its all about to change..
and different angles and leverages will shift the area that is stimulated primarily. thats the nature of the muscle type/shape.

From what I can see... and feel... movements from a decline basis help lower, and movements from an incline help facilitate upper chest growth. But in general, you are right, both decline and incline will work BOTH upper and lower... but depending on what you do will determine what part you work the most.
good post though. Please flame/neg/abuse if you feel i'm talking out of my ass :L haha

As others have mentioned, you can tear the muscles of the chest in slightly differant places more efficiently depending on the angle worked. You also will bring in the recruitment of other muscles more or less depending on the type of movement.

I learned a lot, seems like there are a lot of people that had to really figure out how to grow their chest. I'm going to write a new routine and try to hit my chest a bit harder than I have been.
Great posts everyone, this will also help many other people I think as well.

That's not a problem. As it's quite a big muscle, along with quads, I'd say (depending on your goals and assuming you're gaining muscle) hit it hard once a week
if you hit it hard more than once a week makw sure you get the rest in. Most people over do it, over-train, and the wonder why their chest doesn't grow!
Good post
