I love the feeling that running gives me two hours after I run. It's the feeling it gives me while I'm running and up to those two hours that I hate running and keeps me from running. I don't much like feeling like I'm about to die.
Love is tender and knows no gender

Great thread, thanks for creating it!
I used to run a lot - 6 days/week and anywhere from 40-70 mpw. I ran 14 Marathons (including 4 Bostons) and 2 50 mile ultramarathons in 10 years of serious running. I still love running and still do it, although not nearly as much as I used to and no plans to run any races. I think I just got burnt out and sick of being injured (plantar fascitis, stress fractures, sciatica). I never cross-trained and never lifted. I pretty much turned my fitness "life" upside down about 3 years ago. Less running, more cross training, lifting and yoga. I am in better shape than when I was half my age! :-)

The thing I love with running is that I can beat all my male friends at it!

I love ice baths!! Would do them every Friday Senior year of high school because of cross country

Upgrade in Progress
I'm not a runner at all. I get bored and then all I think about is that it hurts. I do much better with HIIT because I'm only concentrating up until the next interval.

LOL!!! I always hope I don't have to make a porta-potty stop mid-race. I do however know where all the public restrooms are located around the Seattle area :-).

I absolutely do not like to run unless I'm play a sport or something.
Although I do a fair amount of LISS cardio (3-4x/week 60-70 minutes, max incline)

I would just like to say that I ran 5 miles on Wednesday and I was really excited because I only do 4 miles/day. Not only did i run father, but i had a personal best for the mile and the 5k. I had a burst of energy, but of course the following day I went back to my 4 miles Lol

For the longest time (like throughout elementary/middle school) I DREADED running. Since high school I've fallen in love with it. Every day is a good day when you run

I love the idea of running, just not the reality of it.

Think about cross training with some swimming workouts! After a while running can put a ton of stress on your joints, so swimming helps alleviate that. Also, swimming can give you a kickass cardio workout that will help with your breathing while running. I swim almost four miles a day, which is a ton! So running four miles hardly breaks a sweat for me!
