    Launch 4350 Day 6: Legs

Originally Posted by polgas View Post

Awesome workout today!! A good night's sleep plus Launch makes for a great workout!! Amazing focus, clean and jitter-free energy, plus the incredible endurance I got from Launch made for an excellent workout.

One of my goals for this year is to deadlift 300 lbs, and I did it today!! WOOHOO!!! This might not be a lot to some but this is a big deal to me. I'm already close to 40 and I've injured my back 3-4 times in the last 3 years, either from working out, shoveling snow, or just moving furniture around the house. Thanks to the video below, I've been able to strengthen my back and be injury free for the last few months.

I know it was foolish to increase my deadlift by 75 lbs, but I was so dialed in to what I was doing I really felt like I could do more, and I did. I even felt like I could do a couple more extra reps but decided against it. It's gonna be baby steps from now on, promise.

    Deadlift

    05r 135w
    05r 175w
    05r 225w
    03r 245w
    01r 300w + 2 sets and 75 lbs

    PowerTec Lunges:

    15r 130w + 5 lbs
    15r 130w
    15r 130w
    15r 130w

    PowerTec Leverage Machine Calf Raises

    12r 195w
    12r 195w
    12r 195w

    Leg Curls

    09r 80w - 1 total reps
    10r 80w

    Tabata Squats

    8 cycles/1 Tabata
    01/31/2013

Today's workout was very productive. Added another 5 lbs to my last set on DL. Some of my accessory exercises went down, but as long I'm progressing on my DL, I'm happy. Focus, energy, and endurance were again A+.

    Deadlift

    05r 135w
    05r 180w + 5 lbs
    05r 225w
    03r 250w + 5 lbs
    01r 305w + 5 lbs

    PowerTec Lunges:

    15r 135w +5 lbs
    15r 135w -2 sets

    PowerTec Squats:

    10r 210w +2 sets @210w
    15r 210w

    PowerTec Leverage Machine Calf Raises

    12r 195w
    14r 195w +2 total reps
    12r 195w

    Leg Curls

Another GREAT workout!! Was pretty much able to add reps or lbs to all my lifts. Focus was again A+. Still doing just one scoop of Launch. I don't think I'll ever go beyond that.

    One Armed Shoulder Dumbbell Press

    13r 45w +1 reps
    13r 45w +2 reps
    08r 50w +2 reps
    08r 50w +2 reps
    07r 50w +2 reps

    Barbell Shrugs Shrugs

    15r 135w
    15r 135w
    15r 140w +5 lbs

    Dumbbell Lateral Raise

    09r 15w +10 lbs
    15r 10w
    15r 12.5w

    Dumbbell Front Raise

    15r 15w +10 lbs
    15r 15w +5 lbs
    15r 15w +2.5 lbs

    Dumbbell Back/Rear Raise

    15r 10w
    14r 15w
    15r 15w

Bowflex Shoulder Press Drop Set to Failure

    200w
    180w
    100w
    60w
Workout was okay. I only had a total of 6 hours of sleep the past 2 days and didn't really have the energy to workout. I was hoping Launch would help me through my workout, and in some ways it did. The focus was still there and it enabled me to add reps to my Shoulder Dumbbell Press. But the lack of sleep just caught up with me and the energy and endurance was just not there anymore. I had to cut my workout short. Still happy with Shoulder Dumbbell Press though.

    Shoulder Dumbbell Press

    10r 50w
    10r 50w
    08r 50w
    10r 50w
    08r 50w

    Barbell Shrugs Shrugs

    15r 140w

    Dumbbell Lateral Raise

    15r 15w

    Dumbbell Front Raise

    15r 15w

    Dumbbell Back/Rear Raise

    15r 15w

Then back to high reps/low weight to repeat the cycle.

I did med rep/med weight today and had another great workout!! Really liking Launch a lot. Focus and energy were great, as well as the endurance, despite lacking sleep . Added sets to my chin ups, from 3 sets to 5. Loving the gradual increase in strenght and endurance I'm having. The pumps were good as well but definitely could be improved upon.

Is it okay if I add l-citrulline and/or agmatine to Launch to see if I get better pumps?

Really looking forward to next week when I go heavy and strap on a 45 lbs plate while doing chin ups. I can only do 3 max. Hope I can do more.

    Chin Ups

    6r 27.5w +1 rep
    5r 27.5w
    5r 27.5w
    5r 27.5w +1 set

Today's workout was a lot better than yesterday. Although I still did not get my 8 hours of sleep, I was still feeling a lot better. With a little bit of will power and some Launch, I was able to finish my workout and also added 2 sets to my low rep/high weight Chin Ups. Was ready to pass out after though. On to the next one!!!

    Chin Ups

    3r 45w

I decided to skip leg day this week just to give my lower back some rest. Definitely doing shoulders on Saturday though.

    4r 100w +1 rep

I really liked how I felt doing low reps/high weights last workout that I decided to do it again today. I added 1 rep on my first and second sets on chin ups but lost some while doing standing dumbbell curls. As always, as long as I'm progressing on my compound lifts, I'm happy. No jitters today from Launch. I think yesterday's jitters was due to me having coffee too close to my workout. Pumps were surprisingly good today too.

    Chin Ups

    4r 45w +1 rep
    4r 45w +1 rep

Yes!! Had a good night's sleep last night and had an awesome workout!! Added 2.5 lbs to my one arm dumbbell bench press, and to my flys, and also added reps to my lying dumbbell tricep extensions. Launch is still as potent as ever!! Wish it helped with my memory though since I forgot to do Tabata push ups again. I guess you can't have everything. haha

Push Ups (as many as possible while only resting 5X at 05-15 seconds per rests)

    35/50/60/69/79r

Forgot to do tabata push ups again, will try to remember next week.

    Launch 4350 Day 13: Legs

    02/14/2013

Hurt my lower back at work yesterday. Nothing serious but at my age, a little pain can get out of hand really quick, so I decided to not do deadlifts today and take it easy with the weights. I'm actually thinking of moving deadlifts on back days. I did ATG squats with just the bar, then with just a 25lbs plate on my chest, then bodyweight squats. Focus, energy, and enurance were still on point but I still decided to cut down on other sources of caffeine, just in case I become stim-tolerant. Pumps, which I think is Launch's biggest weakness was great today as well. I think it's partly due to the amount of reps I did.

    Squats

    20r 45w
    20r 45w
    20r 45w
    20r 45w
    20r 25w
    20r 25w
    20r 25w
    20r 25w
    20r bw
    20r bw

    PowerTec Leverage Machine Calf Raises

    12r 195w
    12r 195w -2 reps
    12r 195w

    Leg Curls

    12r 80w +3 reps
    09r 80w -1 rep
