First time contest prep EVER. Join me in my natural bodybuilding VLOG, coached by 3DMJ's Alberto Nunez.
Props to all the 3DMJ love and support I've been getting already.
Huge community of awesome people getting ready for bodybuilding competitions in America and all around the world.

Hopefully I can keep up with providing everyone with high quality content and footage during this contest prep as well. Again, thanks for the support
Good luck to you. I had similar experiences in my life as well, being mediocre to average at a lot of different things, but not truly good at anything. I hope bodybuilding is the thing that you will excel at.

As you guys wait for a new video titled, *Skinny Fat*, here are some foods I've been eating during contest prep so far. Besides the protein powders, everything else was prepped at home. I didn't realize how difficult it was to build the habit of cooking at home for almost every meal, if not every meal!... but very important...

I've never had a 6 pack before. My arms and legs have always looked fairly thin, but once I lift up my shirt, there's a little belly. Flat, no definition. I hope to go beyond all that 6 pack stuff and have a totally shredded physique!

Absolutely, the best thing you can do for your diet is cook at home. There are just too many factors beyond our control otherwise. Not only that, but in spite of the fact that I eat extremely healthy, I actually spend far less on food when I'm doing the cooking.

I just made a new episode of Extra Ordinary going off exactly what you said! (plus food porn slideshow of all the foods I've eaten and miss... )

I like it a lot. I have to have the motivation to push myself a little bit because there are times when I will only want to do a one or two back off sets instead of going up and stopping at the RPE for the back off sets. So even though I could keep going, sometimes I'll stop. But what's good is that if I'm motivated, I'll keep going and get up to 5 sets.
It's good because it's based on how you feel that day. No prescribed sets, you go until you hit that back off RPE. So I've definitely taken advantage of that!
Sorry if that doesn't make sense! Hard to explain haha

Was going to make another episode tomorrow, but seems like the schedule would have been too tight to make another. So here it is today! [Upper Light #2]
Feeling like I'm getting stronger and 5.5lbs down

Hey man,
I am SF based as well. I definitely will be subscribing and following along on your journey. If you ever have an interest in getting together for a work out or something let me know man. I am currently in the off season working with Layne on a lean gain for the next 5 months myself after just finishing my first round of competition this past fall on my own.
Keep your head up and focused on the end goal. Prep is tough but you just have to enjoy the journey and the progress along the way!
