Honestly bro, not to question your physician, but if you are having suspected angina pains.. you may want to go to the ER and consider having an EKG done and some further testing like a stress test. I'm not trying to play doctor, I am not a doctor, but I use to be a cardiac ICU RN, and I have never seen possible angina brushed off and treated with a statin, especially that low of a dose and considering the fact of how young you are. 10mg of zocor is very little.
Maybe you did have testing done, if so.. disregard. Are you being treated for your angina with something like norvasc? I just saw in my days of working cardiac icu, way to many young people have angina brushed off by themselves or there primary physicians because they are young and look healthy. I would hate for something bad to happen to you.

my heart itself is healthy , tho i have hereditary high cholesterol (some mutated gene or something along those lines) so I have stable angina when my bpm reaches 170 thus I can't for example , run , for more than 1-2 minutes. I have done EKG's and such but people don't really , uhm , care? Like you said , I am young so it gets brushed off by everyone ( I already tried 4 different doctors ). I'm not on anything besides the zocor
Edit: Also , reason of low dosage was that (and I quote my doctor) : statins are very toxic. After reading your post I decided to try my luck with a 5th doctor... I hope it'll work outLast edited by haunter90; 01-17-2014 at 03:32 AM.

interesting profile to that heart help.
BRADENTON, Fla.—A new human clinical trial involving 82 dyslipidemic patients showed Bergamot (Citrus bergamia Risso) significantly reduced total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), triglycerides, blood glucose level and significantly increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.
The human clinical trial, involving 82 dyslipidemic patients with total cholesterol and triglycerides at more than 250, gave either one or two 500-mg capsules of Citrus Bergamot Polyphenolic Extract (from HP Ingredients) for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, the research showed an average of 31.44 percent reduction in total cholesterol, a 42.82-percent increase in HDL cholesterol, a 38.84-percent reduction in LDL cholesterol, a 41.54-percent reduction in triglycerides, and a 21.93-percent decrease in blood glucose levels.
Lead researcher, Vincenzo Mollace, Ph.D., M.D., professor at the faculty of pharmacy, University Magna Graecia, Catanzaro, Italy, was encouraged by the results. “In four weeks, we saw a significant reduction in total cholesterol, LD, and triglycerides among these dyslipidemic patients who had elevated cholesterol levels and high risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD). In addition, we are seeing a significant increase in HDL, the good cholesterol and reduction in blood glucose as well,” he said.★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ Humid South Crew ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆
