haha, no thanks guys. I've gotten the bulk speil a lot before and really have no cares to give about it. I don't like my skinny fat, and adding more fat ontop of it is something I've already been doing for awhile. Looking to get nice and lean, then go to a slow and very lengthy bulk. I don't plan to compete so I'm not worried about the most effecient ways of doing things.

you should for 3-months: lift strong with a SS type of program, and eat ~maintenance( if you don't want to bulk)
Then after those 3-months figure out whether to cut or bulk

Honestly, just let him cut. He won't be able to bulk properly feeling uncomfortable with his body image
In time he will reach a point where he thinks ''Oh sh!t I'm skinny as fuk and wanna get hyooge'', which is the right time to bulk
just my 2 cents

I don't want to put on muscle mass. I want to lose the fat on mybody and gain strength. I'm fairly new to lifting, but I'm not so new that I don't understand that I'm not big. my lifts are also not pitiful like they used to be.

Do you have a spatula? Take all your pictures with a spatula visible and that'll prove you took them today.
Or you could write the date on a piece of paper like half the people in this thread. I like the spatula better

Your goal is to get stronger while losing what little muscle mass you have? Solid plan
