Nice to meet you all. It's my first post here, and it's glad
to be apart of a community of like-minded dudes. Cool stuff.
Here's my post. Hope you can share some feedback on it and
maybe help a few other guys out in the process...
I'm a 20 year old bodybuilder from England. I've been training
on and off for the better part of 4 years, but like most guys,
motivation has stopped me from making great gains. I train for
1-2 months almost perfectly... then get caught up in the rest
of life, put it on hold for a while, regret my mistakes, and
then jump back onto the training bandwagon.
That's pretty much been the cycle over the past four years and
amidst it all, I've managed to put on some good gains here and
there, and maintained a pretty active body weight.
Now, I ain't big. I measure 5'8" and weigh in at around 142lbs.
That's not "big" by any definition, I know. But I started very
skinny, at around 128lbs - and because I'm not tall and I have
a very low body fat % (around 3-4%), I make strong, muscular
gains and I'm pretty toned. I'd consider my body type to be mid
ecto/endo -- I'm "slight" in frame, but when I concentrate with
a good diet and training, I can pack on muscle pretty quickly.
Anyway, long-winded intro... here's my question...
I'm young, but I take a fair toll of stress. I run an Internet
company, and work long hours. I live with my girlfriend in the
UK, and I pretty much control my lifestyle. No college, no Uni,
no this-or-that. Whatever I want, basically. That's my advantage
and I'm grateful for having it. But, it comes with a price.
It means I often get to bed late, wake up late, don't eat as
good as I could, work too long in front of this screen, don't
go out and "play" as much as I should, etc. As a result, I
think I've let my Testosterone levels suffer. I have very little
energy, wake up dehydrated no matter how much water I drink, and
I've been lagging with the training. Low sexual libido at times
and just a general, low-tone mood on anything physical.
What I need is a boost. I've already modified my diet to reach
an anabolic state, bought all the food I need and planned it
out on a food log... mapped out my training, and got stuck in.
I'm familiar with many training plans.. anything from Bill
Philips, to Anthony Ellis, to the T-Mag guys, articles in
Flex, on this site, Arnold's bible, etc. Must have spent
well over $1,000 on research materials and concluded that
for my body type, training heavy in short, hard bursts is best.
It seems to work.
But the problem is energy and ENTHUSIASM.
I think I'm lacking in T. So, I went ahead and ordered some
Mag-10 after researching it a little and on the recommendation
of a good friend, who trains good and makes good gains. I have
a shipment of the stuff coming tomorrow.
However, after delving more into THIS site, I see a LOT of
posts advising against PH use at such a young age. I'm 20,
as mentioned. I understand my body is supposed to be a T
generator, and I should be pumping out the stuff 24/7. Problem
is, I just don't feel it. I'm short, feel weak, lethargic and
generally unmotivated. I've tried dietary adjustment, herbal
cleansers, self-help, yoga, meditation, hypnosis. Some stuff
works, and I embrace that. It's cool. But I still feel dead.
So, my Mag-10 is coming tomorrow and I'm undecided. I'm a
health freak and the last thing I wanna do is screw up my
body over the long-term. But, a pep would be nice. So I'm
thinking... do I toss the bottle aside for another few years
(or bin it, depending on it's shelf life), or do I tread
carefully and take maybe 1/2 or 3/4 of the usual dose just
to give me that extra boost?
It's a 2 week cycle. I just need something to throw me back
into the flames, so to speak. I'm heading out to Ibiza in
5 weeks and I wanna cut up my abs, pecs and biceps a little
more before I hit the beaches. I know, I know - 5 weeks is
nothing. But I've put on 10lbs or more in this time before
and I just want that little extra "edge", you know?
Do any of you guys have any thoughts? Should I avoid PH at
all costs, or take half the recommended dose for 2 weeks
just to pick me up a little? I'm experiencing all the
symptoms of low T, and believe me guys, I'm up to my eyes
in responsibility. I can deal with it, np. But my gains
at the gym are being sacrified. Will Mag-10 help me out?
Appreciate your time/thoughts guys -- I hope to return
All the best,
