Hey everyone, started keto on the 1st January, doing this with my boyfriend. Started lifting in October 2012 and turned flab into muscle, now I am looking to lower my body fat percentage a bit. No hardcore goals just dropping some fat.
I've so far lost 3.5 kg,current stats are
66.5kg, 24.9%bf.
My diet goals,
1500 calories a day minimum
111g protein
108g fat
20g carbs
I've just changed my routine from a beginners 12 week routine (two day split of arms, then legs/abs) to a very specific routine. Upping my cardio (I walk an averae of 7km a day just at work but want to do more). Preseason soccar is also starting this week so will have training twice a week in addition to going to the gym...
Happy to hear from anyone, if you have criticism though, be polite and offer advice... Wont tolerate arguing with anyone its just unnecessary =)

Protein 113
Breakfast- 2 egg omelette with spinach and 30g coconut oil and 40g bacon .. Usually one thick cut slice
Snack - 50g Hungarian salami
Lunch - 100g basa fillet with Lemon pepper, 100g asparagus 25g lite cheese
Snack - 40g pecans
Dinner - 116g steak, 1 cup broccoli and 25 g cheese

Oh ordered straps for my leg raises showed up broken, sending back, really disapointed over this as was some of mates in the gym !! Great to have some guys supporting my efforts!
Also just ordered some ankle straps for the cable hip extensions, my gym doesn't have any ans I think I would prefer to sweat over my own and not go communal lolJade

Definately sticking to my fish at lunch, can have such a big filling piece, girls at work were trying to see what i eat! They are in disbelief that im being 'strict' since Im eating such yummy food - especially when I brought out the bacon! =P
First day of new routine, I cant wait to see how I feel in the morning, back up to the 12+ rep range and really focussing on form, feel like bragging about my squats... added alot more exercises and supersets in the new routine, I feel like Im going to get some really pleasing results.

Haha! There's nothing I like more than blowing people's minds at work when we go out to lunch and I hammer down a huge portion of Keto friendly food! They can't even question me because although they want to.....the results speak for themselves.
Keep it up and stick with it. Especially the squats! (Never be afraid to brag)

Because Oprah has proven to be a great role model for eating and exercise!! Not!!! Though she is a lovely lady,,.
Lost some cm this last month!!! So pleased, I thought some of my clothes seemed smaller, but wasnt untill I whipped out the the tape measure that I was sure.
LOST.... Waist 5cm, bicep 3cm, calf 1 cm, hips 2 cm, thigh 4 cm.
Very happy!!!!!
How do you all determine your lean body mass? I just went with what this site reckoned in tis calculation,,,Jade

Ok so I stopped keto for a little bit and did a normal cut. My boyfriend couldn't handle it and I decided to just switch with him...
I became SO bloated!! And cravings throu the roof!!!! Coming back to keto.... Only I have been to,d I have to eat all the banana and jamie eason protein bars that I made, since he won't eat them. As soon as they have been disposed of, IM back.!!
So I was also quite sick, haven't lost any weight, but didnt gain either thankfully . !Jade

Don't be nervous! The weirdest thing is getting used to eating so much fat, I really struggled getting carbs in when I switched for a bit!

How are you women doing on your keto? Still on? I am trying to find the right macros to MAXIMIZE fat loss, but I do NOT want to become a mass of flappy skin (meaning that I want what MANY people want: the lose fat & gain muscle simultaneously!). Anyway, I don't think I was taking in enough calories so now I'm switching THAT up, plus adjusting macros. A little frustrated with all this experimentation, but hoping that my continued efforts will eventually pay off with the right "formula" for the rest of my life -- and that's worth a little effort! =)

Hey! I totally hear you on getting the right macros and the experimenting. I went off the past week (switched to carb cycling) and I hate it. I've been experimenting the past month myself. I want to go back to KETO/CKD. That itself may switch to a bit of a TKD, but the upped carbs just bloat me, I feel either sick, unsatisfied and eat over, or both! lol Keto I didn't feel like that! Glad I found this thread.
