I usually limit it to once ever 2-3 weeks at most and dont let myself do it in 3 consecutive nights.




I can go months without using it but then the way schedules conflict there are nights where its like "I HAVE TO SLEEP RIGHT NOW" and thats when I use it.

These are the cases where I use it


1) If I know I have early 6am meetings I need to be up for I will take it early in the night to make sure I fall asleep and get a decent amount of sleep instead of staying awake until 4am and getting 2 hours of sleep tops.

2) When I just know I wont be able to sleep based on how I'm feeling.

3) When its 4am and its become quite clear that sleep isnt happening tonight.

Definitely going to have to email the Doc then about getting a prescription because I can certainly use it in the same circumstances you just listed. I take Benadryl but it's not always effective as I'm reading misc. in bed but not falling asleep.

Hate to break it to you, but this is a very common side effect. Especially if you decide to stay awake and try to get a buzz of it.
Lots of people land themselves in the psych ward only to be released the next day because they found out it was because of zolpidem.

Start going to your doctor and complain about not being able to sleep, make it seem like it's really affecting you negatively. Some will just hand out a script like it's nothing, others make you come back a few times before they will write you one.

I don't actually have legitimate sleep problems but with my work and late night training schedule when I get home from the gym at 1:30am every night I just want to be able to pass the **** out.
