Ziegenfuss T.N., Mendel R.W., and Hofheins J.E. Comparison of Purported Anabolic Supplements on Body Composition and Muscular Performance. Ohio Research Group. Wadsworth, Ohio 44281, USA.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of three purported anabolic dietary supplements (arginine alphaketoglutarate, AAKG; creatine ethyl ester, CEE; SizeOn?, SO) on training-induced changes in body composition and muscular performance.

Methods: Using a randomized, double-blind design, 30 healthy men (mean +/- SD age, height, weight, 1-RM bench press: 29.9 +/- 6.8 y, 179.3 +/- 6.4 cm, 84.8 +/- 13.5 kg, 118.4 +/- 21.5 kg) were matched for training experience and randomly assigned to ingest one serving per day of AAKG (3 g + 31 g carbohydrate, N=10), CEE (3 g + 31 g carbohydrate, N=10), or SO (1 scoop) for one month. Verification of ingredient purity and potency by an external laboratory is pending. Body composition (DEXA) and muscular performance (1-RM bench press and repetitions to failure [RTF: 3 sets x baseline body weight, 60-sec rest between sets]) were measured at baseline, day 7, and day 28.

Blood samples were obtained at baseline and after 4-weeks of supplementation and training. Subjects were required to maintain their normal dietary and training patterns during the study. Data were analyzed via ANOVA and (where necessary) Newman-Keuls post-hoc tests. An intent-to-treat approach was used and statistical significance was accepted at p≤0.05.

Results: Body weight increased in SO (+1.9%; 91.82 +/- 16.99 [baseline] to 93.59 +/- 17.30 kg [day 28], p<0.0002), whereas no changes were observed in AAKG (-0.7%; 82.92 +/- 5.39 [baseline] to 82.33 +/- 6.31 kg [day 28], p<0.25). Body weight tended to increase in CEE (+1.0%; 79.58 +/- 13.31 [baseline] to 80.35 +/- 12.9 kg [day 28], p<0.10). Similarly, lean mass increased in SO (+2.8%; 64.79 +/- 3.84 [baseline] to 66.61 +/- 3.55 kg [day 28], p<0.0001), did not change in AAKG (+0.2%; 62.38 +/- 5.22 [baseline] to 62.49 +/- 4.92 kg [day 28], p<0.74), and tended to increase in CEE (1.0%; 61.50 +/- 5.80 [baseline] to 62.05 +/- 5.83 kg [day 28], p<0.10).

No significant changes in % fat or fat mass were noted between or within groups. All groups had significant increases in 1-RM bench press from baseline to day 28, however, no between-group changes were noted. RTF increased in SO (+28.7%; 27.2 +/- 12.2 [baseline] to 35.0 +/- 17.0 reps [day 28], p<0.0001), but did not change in CEE (+8.9%; 30.4 +/- 13.4 [baseline] to 33.1 +/- 15.9 reps [day 28], p<0.16), or AAKG (+3.7%; 21.6 +/- 8.5 [baseline] to 22.4 +/- 8.1 reps [day 28], p<0.51).

Conclusions: Within the framework of the current experimental design, these preliminary data indicate that four weeks of AAKG administration has no effect on adaptations to resistance training (body weight, % fat, lean mass, or muscular performance). In contrast, CEE may have modest effects on body weight and lean mass, while SO significantly increases body weight, lean mass, and RTF during resistance training. We are currently examining the safety profile of each of these supplements, and plan to confirm and refine these results in a larger sample size. Future research is warranted to determine the mechanisms responsible for the noted improvements in training adaptations for SO.

I also have some grape Xtend which is a grape flavored BCAA formula which I do not like the grape flavor at all in. I love the watermelon but the grape I have to down a scoop and chase it with water or gatorade. The other sample packet of grape Size-On I had I figured I would mix it with two scoops of grape flavored Xtend since I know ppl would be pretty curious about this. To me the grape flavored Xtend is very weak but when mixed with grape Size-On they go very well together. In fact the grape flavor from the Size-On is so "powerful" that I don't even notice the BCAA taste from the Xtend. My next tub of Size-On will def. be of the grape flavor so I can mix grape Xtend with it during my workout.

Q: How are the SizeOn tabs different from the powder? Why would somebody use them instead of the powder?

A: They are very similar in most aspects with the exception of a few key ingredients. The tabs do not contain the carbohydrate ?outlast,? but they do contain an advanced neural stimulant called allothiamine. Allothiamine is a powerful neural stimulant that will increase concentration and focus during your workout. If you are dieting the tabs would be the better choice.

I have to admit - truthfully - I am very surprised at the interest and
sales levels of the SZ tabs. When I designed these, I thought it would
be sort of a "house product" for a specific giant chain. I mean,
most people seem to prefer their creatine/cell volumizer as a powdered

However, the recent sales of SZ tabs tells me this might not be absolute
and that there is a significant portion of the market that prefers to
use a tab over a powder to get their creatine/cell volumizing effects.

I do not think the tabs are as effective as the powder because you lose
the small carbohydrate effect. But the difference over a long period
of 30-60 days is probably very minimal if you're doing everything else
correctly.

Also, I like the lemon flavored SZ a lot but the idea of swallowing all those
pills I personally do not like so much.

And besides...at the Olympia in September, there will be two more
flavors of powder SizeOn available. So that will make 4 flavor choices.

Man...this stuff is really taking off. It's about the #1 selling creatine or
cell volumizer product that does not contain any arginine on the market
right now.

I honestly do NOT have a prefrence Tabs Vs Powder, However the taste of the Lemon Ice is good enough to just drink as a lemonade!

Mixability: 4/5- Threw a sample pack of SO into a shaker and mixed with 8 ounces of water. Mixed good, there was some settling of contents onto the bottom of the shaker, not much.

Taste: 5/5- The flavor is "Arctic Lemon Ice". It tasted really great, its really sweet, but yet tasted like the candy lemonheads if you mixed them with a little bit of sprite... really really good.

Focus: 4/5- The writeup states that the Outlast?„? complex is SO is a nootropic carbohydrate blend... I again took the SO Peri-Workout near the end of my workout and I usually start feeling tired, exhausted, etc, but felt a bit of 'pep' and not as drained.

Mood: 4/5- A nice pickup in mental energy was noticed, so mood was elevated, not as tired as I usually am near the end of my workout.

Energy: 4/5- A nice mental and physical pickup was noticed, again not as tired or sluggish as usual... good stuff.

Pumps: 5/5- 'Muscle hardness' I feel is a more appropriate term here... usually an hour or so after the gym I lose the 'pump' but with SO my muscles seemed to stay rock solid for hours after the gym... it really was incredible.

Strength: 4/5- Can't say too much here, especially just after using one sample packet, especially since I used this product peri-workout, but I was better able to maintain intensity on my last few sets where I am usually starting to feel the effects of exhaustion.


Note- Again this was only after after ingestion of one (1) sample pack of SO, but from the samples used, I am impressed, and I would definitely recommend this product.

Final Review

Effectiveness 8/10
My strength went way up in my legs,but didn't see near as much in other areas. DOMS were non existant after a few days on this stuff. I didn't really have any increase in endurance. I did notice periods where I was sweating alot more than normal.

Taste -Lemon 9/10,Punch 6/10
With taste lemon blew punch away.The punch was the first tub I bought and at first the taste was terrible but it grew on me.

Price- 5/10
The way I was using it, imo its not a cost effective supplement. The next time I take this I'll just use one serving a day,if its just as effective I'd give it an 8/10.

I started at 183, so in 3 weeks I gained ten pounds, some of it was fat though, mainly in my stomach. Other than that this is the best creatine product I've ever used(hp cee,cellmass,gnc mono,Ce2) by far.

-not having to rest as long between sets
- reduced lactic acid buildup
- muscle's starting to look fuller
-Reduced rest time between sets: As soon as i put the weights down i feel like i could hit it again.

-Less lactic acid build-up: This was something i wasnt expecting at all so this surprised me to say the least. Since i'm doing higher reps this really comes in handy. People that lift for endurance and do a lot of reps (12-15) might wanna try experimenting with Size-On b/c i think it would help out alot by cutting down the lactic acid.

-Vascularity: I'm starting to see veins in my traps and some different veins in my arms that are pretty freaky looking.

-Muscle Fullness: The muscle fullness is really starting to set in now. When i take it before bed on my days off my muscles feel and look so full in the morning when i wake up. I always know when i start getting muscle fullness from a product b/c my shirts start to get tight around my arms and my shoulder/trap area. The muscle fullness is one of the main reasons i enjoyed Green Bulge so much.

As far as pumps go it's hit or miss. Some days i get really good pumps and some days i dont. Ive never really responded that well to NO products so it's not a big deal.

Strength could prolly be a lot better but my focus isnt on strength right now. I always get good strength gains off any creatine product so i'm sure this one would not be any different.
Final Review:

Muscle Fullness- This was my favorite thing about this product. When you put a shirt on and it feels alot tighter than before it's a very good feeling. When you take it before bed you wake up the next morning feeling full all over. Even when i got sick those couple of days and couldnt eat like i wanted to i still had great muscle fullness. Great product for muscle fullness/cell volumization.

Reduced rest time between sets- Another great feature about Size-On. As soon as i put the weight down within 20 seconds i felt like i could go again 100%.

Reduced Lactic Acid- This really came in handy while doing exercises like leg curls, crunches, laterals, and any other isolation movement that really burns. I felt like i could keep going forever on some exercises. If you have never felt this feeling before you are truly missing out. It's a great feeling.

Vascularity- I started getting some veins in my traps, upper chest, and arms that i have never seen before. They didnt bulge out like the veins in your arms do after a bicep or tricep workout but you could damn sure see them.

Pumps were ok but nothing spectacular. Strength gains were pretty consistent. I didnt set any PR's or anything but i didnt try either as my main focus was size.

No negative side effects at all. No stomach discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, bloating, or anything like that. Although i will say that it did sometimes give me some gas after taking it and it would usually last for about 2-3 hrs but it was no big deal.

I would def. buy this product again in a heartbeat. I was a little skeptical about spending 50 bucks on a creatine product but i have no regrets what so ever. BK might be an ******* to a lot of ppl but he formulated an excellent product so you have to give him respect/credit for that. Dont let his actions or JV@Gaspari's actions on the board over the past few weeks turn you away from wanting to try Size-On b/c it is truly an amazing product. I dont care if BK dresses up like a woman and puts make up on while dancing around in a thong b/c if a product delivers than you cant really argue with that. well im really happy with the 1/4 inch gain in my arms in 36 days,
it seems like my arms go in spurts, like they'll grow 1/2 in a month,
and then wont grow for like 3 months. so im real happy to get that 1/4 inch.
Forearms were a big dissapointment, i hit them really hard and alot, so i guess
i just gotta hit them harder. My waist fluctuates big time, but i wish it wasnt so big then my v-taper would look better, but cant really help genetics. im really happy to get my calves up that much, they looked straight little. I wish i woulda gained more on my quads but ill just have to hit the squats harder. well i started doing a neck machine and i definatly got stronger on it, but neck size really dont matter to me. 1/2 gain on the shoulders wasnt to bad, but i wanna get them to look wider. overall i am pretty happy with the results, cause ive been stuck in a rut latly with training and couldnt seem to grow.

majority seems to think so. For SP250, the popular flavors are Orange and Blue Raspberry Ice.

I'll be rating Size-On on mainly two things : Size and strenght gains... I'll explain you how I'm going to rate that. For size gains, pretty simple, tape measurement, overall feeling in the mirror and the scale. For strenght gain, I'll be mainly evaluating the 8 strenght goals I etablished prior to the power week comparing the outcome with weight I used the power week before size on I will also be looking at the rep range and shock week but a bit less since I can't make a complete synthesis of every weight used during the 4 weeks of the cycle since there is so many variables to take into consideration...

I need to also had that I had a minor elbow injury while taking the products, which was probably impairing my shoulders/chest gains. Also note that those 2 muscles groups are my weakness. So that's about it as far as Strenght gains. That's what you should expect from taking one month of a creatine matrix, so for now, size-on wasn't special as opposed to another creatine product.

The difference is in the size gains. Look for yourself, but that's definitly not gains I you would make with another creatine product in a month. On top of that, size gains are normally kinda hard for me even if I eat 4000 calories a day. So It didn't end bad at all

Also added size everywhere, excepting on chest and legs. Note that I'm not sure the measure on my legs were taken at the same place as before hand, so the results might be a bit glitched. I don't know why I gained size in the waist area though, I didn't eat more that usual, and I normally doesn't really gain in this area. Again, the measurement might have been taken differently.

Best size gainer I've used so far...Impressive for a creatine product...Muscle fullness is really there all day long too!

SUPERPUMP 250

For those who have followed my log, you know my thoughts about superpump have been top notch. Easily the best pre-workout formula I've ever used. I must admit thought I never used any other formulas specifically designed for that purpose though but I have a wide range of experience with various stimulants so I know what I'm talking about in that focus and energy departement .. The energy and focus you get from it is simply amazing. The pump were also really good, but nothing as radical as taking Bulk Glycerol MonoSterate (I know there is an amount of it in Size-On though). There is nothing really special to add, as this product is only doing what's it's intented for : Focus and energy?In that departement, it works awesome ! Now, to say if it's actually an useful product regarding being a NO product, it's another debate but I'm not talking about that.

Need energy and a really good focus preworkout ? SUPERPUMP 250 !

Strenght: 6/10 If you're looking purely for strenght gains, looks elsewhere ! In my case, I didn't get anything special out of it

Size: 9.5/10 Easily the best product I've used so far as far as strength gains. I'm really pleased with what I got out of it?

Endurance: 8.5/10 This was really a hit or miss, sometimes I would get mad endurance, other time, worst than average...Go figure !

Yeah I would def go with lemon,it tastes alot better than fruit punch.

Seth, Lemon ice, Grape Blast and Wildberry are the options for SizeOn, while Fruit punch, Orange and Blue Raspberry Ice are the options for SP250

Just got in my sizeon and superpump today (havent used it yet though). I had a question and I'm sorry if its covered in one of the post above. I usually have a protein shake before I go to bed. Sizeon says to take one scoop before bed on days off. So I was wondering would I be able to take both sizeon and my shake before bed. If so how would the timing be, shake first and then half hour to an hour later take sizeon or vice versa? Or is it not neccessary to have both of them?

you can take your SizeOn first thing in the morning, but if you insist on nighttime, just spread the time between the sizeon and your shake

this stuffs pretty good im currently on sizeon and superpump and it seems to be working very well. one questions however are the sizeon pills better/worse/same as the drink? btw i have lemon size on and it tastes great, the orange superpump took some getting used to but thats not too bad either.

ok, you are 17 and asking such a question, could simply be answered if you knew what the differences and are how certain ones are vital/essential to certain functions in the body.

Time will be better spent on your part, but researching each individual compound of every product you ever think about taking.

Now see i cant recommend Sizeon/Sp250 to you since you are not 18+, sorry, but please take the time to do research.
