Not much I was in the middle of my workout and he was chatting with a few people. I wasn't stressing it though since he lifts at the same gym as I do so I see him often. This is the first time I approached him. He's a cool guy and totally up for pics and chatting with you.

Thanks for the compliment but he was and he was wearing a "baggy" (probably 2x XL) long sleeve shirt and he was just huuuugggeee.

Yea it's legit. It's a no frils gym with everything you need, cheap membership, and purely dedicated people. I think a lot of the average joes are intimidated to lift there because I will say I'm in the bottom 10% in that gym. That right there is motivation and then you look over and see Phil doing DB presses with the 150's and it definitely pumps you up.

chalk, 3 dead lifting platforms, 2 squat racks, 1 squat rack with the hangars? I've only seen them in videos at powerlifting gyms. DB's go up to 170's, and the whole place is just lined with pics of IFBB pros and some seem to be signed. Not to mention just seeing Phil in there is sick.

I think you're talking about a monolift which is a 3-5k $ piece of a equipment. That place sounds like the absolute tits. Brb going to Work Out World right now and getting smothered by the army of fat New Years resolutioneers that have swarmed there...

Yea this isn't a Planet Fitness or one of those lame gyms. You can do whatever you want there. It's probably encouraged.

Sounds like the gym I need to be in.....Always constantly having friends quit on me. They hate me for making them focus more on negatives and they actually are sore the next day. This actually hinders my lifting progress, I need to siphon my motivation from something else rather than having a partner. :/

Phil lifts solo. I've been lifting solo for years. If they are holding you back drop them.
