    Feeling flat 24 weeks out.

    Hi,

    I'm 24 weeks out of my first contest (1st week in prep, since 1st March) and I feel quite flat and for some reason I can't flare out my lats like I used to..it just seems stiff and hard to spread out and my quad sweeps look to have flattened a lot, probably has something to do with feeling flat.
    Anyhow, I've already lost 1 pound, aiming for 1.3~ pound a week.

    What I changed from my off season, reduced my carb intake by about 120~130 calories for each day of the week, which is about 31g of carbs and added cardio (unilateral legs stepmill) on OFF days only (3 days out of 7) burning 250 cals.

    Should I take back in my regular carbs and reduce my fat intake or change my cardio? Although my weight loss goal per week is going perfect at the moment.

    -Thank you

    I can't put in spoiler tags but that's my off season plan, I basically reduced my carbs by 31 for everyday of the week.

    Sometimes when the money is low, my meat source is changed to fish so all the fats from the beef I regularly take are not additioned so I throw in 51g of olive oil in to make up for the calories/fat that have been lost.

    Monday/Tursday (chest/bi/shoul/tri);

    Total : (3460 cals) (120g fat) (322g carbs) (264g protein)

    __________________________________________________ ___________________________________

    Tuesday/Friday (legs/back) ;

    Total : (3590 cals) (119.5g fat) (349g carbs) (268g protein)

    __________________________________________________ ___________________________________

    Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday (offdays);

    Total : (3758 cals) (169g fat) (282g carbs) (232 - 260g protein)

    I would believe its mental, 24 weeks out you shouldn't even feel like you are dieting yet.

    You could probably shift some of your fats to carbohydrates and see how that affects your body composition.

    At those calorie and carb levels, I agree with fltallpaul....that should not even feel like the dieting has begun. Very hard to believe at 190lbs and 280-350g carbs per day you would truly be flat.
    Even if you are flat on those macros, at 24 weeks out that is hardly a concern. The only time you really need to be concerned with fullness/flatness is the minute you step on stage....
