    Am i doing anything wrong?

    Ok so ive been seriously dieting an going to the gym for the past 5 days an have been seeing great results. Ive been drinking a lot of protein shakes throughout each day, usually like 3-5 an they each have 48 gs of protein. Im 260lbs an i was just wondering if taking in that much protein is bad. I drink usually 1-1/2 gallons of water a day so i dont think its bad for the kidneys but is it affecting anything else? Also, i rely on protein shakes as my snacks and sometimes a meal. Can anyone give me advice for maximizing my gains an losing all that fat?

    No its not bad. 5 shakes is a lot for one day especially on top of meals. I suggest eating healthy foods instead.

    Look up diet and weight loss plans on bodybuilding.com. Hopefully you will learn a thing or 2 about diet instead of just downing shakes hoping to lose weight.

    To OP: just hit your macros and you should be fine there's nothing bad to get protein from shakes.

    Protein shakes are a supplement. I.e they supplement your diet. Don't go replacing meals with protein shakes, diet is more important than shakes IMO.

    Try get a meal plan going and add protein shakes in on top of that. Good luck bro

    I'm sure you learnt in science that your kidneys break down proteins to simpler substances. Too much protein can tax your kidneys.

    I recommend you do some research before you jump into conclusions.

    i get all my protein from food and not shakes, Shakes are way to expensive to be drinking that much per day.
