Ok so ive been seriously dieting an going to the gym for the past 5 days an have been seeing great results. Ive been drinking a lot of protein shakes throughout each day, usually like 3-5 an they each have 48 gs of protein. Im 260lbs an i was just wondering if taking in that much protein is bad. I drink usually 1-1/2 gallons of water a day so i dont think its bad for the kidneys but is it affecting anything else? Also, i rely on protein shakes as my snacks and sometimes a meal. Can anyone give me advice for maximizing my gains an losing all that fat?

No its not bad. 5 shakes is a lot for one day especially on top of meals. I suggest eating healthy foods instead.
Look up diet and weight loss plans on bodybuilding.com. Hopefully you will learn a thing or 2 about diet instead of just downing shakes hoping to lose weight.
