Anabolic Halo Performance Series PappaBear76 Log

A BIG thank you to MuscleTech Jake and MuscleTech for an opportunity to Log MuscleTechs New and improved Anabolic Halo Performance Series "All In One Lean Muscle Shake". This is my first Log and I hope it proves to be beneficial to anyone interested in following it. I will be giving an honest review of the product until its empty and I will also be hitting it very solid in the gym and in the kitchen. I was glad to see that the product arrived wrapped up in plastic from FedEx (due to possible bad weather). After opening the box you could see that the product was packed nice and tight. So delivery and presentation were great.
The taste test was better than expected. The mix-ability was the best I have had to deal with in a while. No clumps! The taste is just a nice chocolate. Not to sweet, bitter or rich. Considering its an All In One post work out drink I'm not sure the taste could be any better with just water.
I will be posting my diet and goals tomorrow so I can measure my personal success with this product. I am starting a new routine and diet, so this log is happening at a great time to be able to really focus on this product alone. I will not be using any other Creatine, Recovery, Amino, Glutamine or Carb drink while using this product. Thanks again for this opportunity!

Anabolic Halo saved the night! Seriously, the drink was very refreshing after tonight's workout. No clumps and the taste hit the spot. It was so nice to have a post workout drink that taste so good with all the added benefits. I didn't have to mix up a potion of BCAA's and Creatine and immediately follow it with some a clumpy protein. It is so important to me to consume my post drink immediately after my workout and Anabolic Halo saved me alot of time.
I hit my back and triceps tonight. I will have enough time soon to post my plan in better detail but here is what went down tonight.
BACK• Lat Pull Downs and Heavy Rows. I also incorporated a couple machines in the mix while I waited for my spot to open on the floor.

Its not typical that I only hit one area but the time I had tonight, I knew was going to be busy. So I made the most out of it.
Lat Pulldowns were heavy and I repped until failure then went heavier until I was played out. This took about 10 minutes with no more than a 5-10 sec break between sets. I then descended with negative reps on the same exercise. Did this again with a different grip and adjusted height on seated bench to isolate a different area of the back and incorporated a longer hold with each rep focusing on grip failure as well. I did this until my form was weak and finished with forced ugly reps and then descended weight.
I used the same principal with the Rows ascending to failure then descending with negative failure and switching grip. My back had a good pump and my eyes are still red. So all in all about 40 minutes dedicated to back with less than 5 minutes total of breaks between sets.
Anabolic Halo followed the workout with 16oz of water and 2 scoops.

    Day 2 Jan 22 2013
I woke up this morning and my upper back felt a bit sore but in a great way. I got a good work out in last night. Tonight I hit shoulders and legs and tweaked the Tri's a bit more with some machine push downs.
    •Shoulders
Reverse Overhead DB Laterals pyramid the weight up to failure starting with 25lbs DB up to the 45lbs /superset down until I cant successfully even use the 15lbs with any good form.
Standing Lateral raises I used the same principal as the reverse Overhead.
Repped Machine Laterals at 80lbs for about 15reps and lowered weight until my shoulders told me to stop.
    •Legs
Squats with 225 4 sets of 10 (did not play with adding weight or working to failure without a spotter)
Leg extensions 3 sets of 10 with only 2 plates 90lbs
Leg curls 3 sets of 10 with the same 2 plates.
(No cardio today or any shrugs)
Tomorrow I will be doing some trap work with Biceps and some calves
2 Scoops of Anabolic Halo post workout with 16oz of water
    •I need a good shaker

Today it was turkey for all 3 meals hitting at just under 2200 calories for the day and so far 1.25 gallons of water.

That pyramid setup seems brutal.. what rep range do you target for each set? (i kow you said until failure, but im curious if you have a minimum number you want to hit for each).. either way keep it up man

I hit my Biceps and Traps today no calves like I had planed. I spent more time than I thought on my arms and traps. However, I am having a hard time typing or lifting my arms at all so as crazy as it sounds that's one of my indicators that I had a good workout.
•Biceps-Curls with the curl bar. Started with 50lbs and repped it 20 times and moved on to heavier weight. Picked up the 75 and repped it about 11 times and immediately grabbed the 90lbs and repped it 10 or 12 more times before my arms started to shake a bit. Declined the weight back down to 80 instead of climbing the tree and repped it 9 times before my arms reached failure without forced reps. I then grabbed the 75 again and hit it about 10 times before arms are feeling like noodles. So I hit the 90 for 7 reps and then went down to 60 and did concentration curls.
When I am doing these "curls" This go around I stretch my arms as low and flush against my leg as I can then relax. Curl the weight up and flex my Bicep for all its worth at the top of the movement and drop back down SLOW. This workout consumed most of my time there today. I try to hit failure quick and get a good pump fast so no rests between sets. 20mins spent on curls.
•Traps-Shrugs. This is no surprise workout and nothing fancy. I dont wear straps until the weight is ridiculous and I am putting others around me in danger of dropping dumbbells that weigh over 100lbs. If I do not force flex my traps with the shrugs and use heavy weight all the work goes un noticed. I think the aesthetics of solid Traps separate many people in the gym so I spend time holding each rep and feeling it. I do these until I just can not hold a dumbbell. I probably did 15 sets just grabbing whatever vI could handle and shooting for 10-20 reps each time until either my grip was gone or my traps were burning like a cramp.
Today I have almost hit 2500 calories. 3 light protein snacks and about 1.5lbs of chicken with Green Beans and Potatoes... yeah......and Cole Slaw. Might as well keep it honest. Tonight I may go all out and have a huge bowl of Lucky Charms and a protein shake and target just under 3000 calories.
So far I have consumed about 1 gallon of water. Probably will have another half gallon before I call it a day.
    •Supps
I took a serving of Magnum Acid Before eating this morning and before dinner.
I took a serving of Magnum Heat 15 minutes before 1st meal and 30 minutes before lifting.
I took 2 scoops of Anabolic Halo post workout with 16oz of water.
My back feels solid and ready for another round which is surprising. My shoulders feel good and my legs feel tight but not super sore. Tonight my arms are still pumped and was difficult taking my shirt off. This will be a bigger test on Halo in the next couple of days once it has had time to work its magic through my system. So far so great. Pumps are lasting longer and I am not as sore as usual. Not sure if this is due to the new routine or Halo just yet but time will tell.
The mix-ability is something I have to compliment once again. I used a shaker that felt like the lid was striped and I had to hold it tight and shake it weird so it wouldn't spill everywhere. No clumps! Awesome. Also the taste is more like a treat than it is a post supplement!

I agree with you with the trap work, it's better to feel the contraction. If you want to go heavy for your traps, you might as well deadlift.

    Great training session bro!

Thanks man. After reading this I broke it down in a bit more detail after today's workout.
It is brutal! Its the kind of lifting where you think your eyes are going to bleed, but it works for me after a little consistency and dedication.
I don't have a minimum number. But for whatever reason (in my mind) I am wanting 15-20 reps. I may only get 5-7. It just depends. This is why I like the routine. Its unpredictable and your body tells you when to stop by going limp or numb. I may go grab a drink of water from the fountain and get back and be able to increase the reps and weight by 40lbs and hit 15-20reps and then pick up a 10lb dumbbell and get stuck. Nothing better than struggling to curl or do a lateral raise with a 15 or 20 lb dumbbell. But I don't care what people think when they see me struggling to curl a 10lb dumbbell. Its beyond imagination what it feels like to be in that kind of pain and we like it!

Hit chest today with light weight and on the Flat Bench, with the Barbell. I'm not one that takes chances without a spotter. I go for muscle exhaustion and a solid pump feeling.
    •Flat Bench
    135 3x15
    205 4x10
225 3x10 (last two sets were rough)

    •Incline DB
    50lbs for 20reps,15,10
    75lbs for 10repsx2
    95lbs for 9reps 7, 4

    •Flys on incline
    25lbs for 20,15,10
    30lbs for 20,15,10
    40lbs for 3x10

    •Calves
Standing Calf Raises till failure with 400lbs. After only about 2 mins they feel like I did nothing so I repped them to failure 4 times before I felt like I may fall down. No seated raises tonight.

I finished chest on a machine press with 310 (which probably is only 210?) and repped out only like 8 or 9 then took the weight down to 230 and hit it until I was done. Those pin machines.... Just not sure about them?
This workout left me feeling a good pump and slight twitching in the pecs but not real impressed. Felt tired this evening. I wanted to go in early but can't always get what you want. Magnum Heat I believe pulled through for me and gave me that edge I needed to hit it and get out. My heart was working more with less effort and I was sweating BIG TIME! The caloric intake at the time was around only 1800. I will see how I feel tomorrow. I may hit the Triceps again with some close grip presses, and Lat Pull downs to work on some more strength to assist my bench. I have lost about 5lbs this week and I have been drinking TONS of water as usual and following my workouts with Anabolic Halo.

My meals were (1.Oats), 2.(Protein Shake), 3.(1.2lbChicken Breast with Devil Spit Sauce), 4.(Protein Shake) 5.(1.25lb Chicken Breast with Dumplings) about 220 calories worth of Dumplings. 6.(To Be Determined) I may get crazy and have some Casein with a shot of peanut butter? Hows that for a Friday Night!

I have to say that the Anabolic Halo must be doing something pretty awesome because I have not been as sore. I am sore, but not to the point where it interferes with anything important and I expect this. My pumps leaving the gym last for a long time which is impressive. Because I have discontinued with anything else other than Magnum Heat and Acid which I am logging. These are to help with energy and weight loss. I believe Halo after the workouts have shown to be effective with recovery for me. I wanted to get sick before I left the gym the other day. I drank 2scoops of the Halo with 16oz of water and started to feel better?
    Have a great weekend!

Only 30mins of Cardio and tweaking on traps, arms, back.

    Traps
7 sets Rep til failure with light DB's 50-75lbs
    Arms
DB curls 5 sets to failure with 45,50,35,then 40lb DB's
    Back
    Machine Rows
The weight was only 130 and I just repped it until my back started feeling a burn

Not really a "scheduled" work day for me in the gym but since I had a little free time I took advantage of it.

I am only at about 1800 calories right now and am about to eat a late "breakfast" dinner
I took Magnum Heat this morning and before my time at the gym
I have taken the Magnum Acid before Breakfast, Lunch and Im about to take another serving before I eat tonight.
I followed my light day in the gym up with Anabolic Halo
Even though it was a light day, I still consumed two scoops of the Halo
I cant stress enough how good this mixes and the taste is great!
I can tell the Halo is working at this point, my recovery is better than usual.

Jan 28 week 2 with Halo
    •BACK Lat Pull Downs
    Over Hand Grip
    Warm up - 15 reps with 90lbs
    20 reps @ 100
    17 reps @ 100
    14 reps @ 100
    09 reps @ 100
05 reps @ 140 Flexing Lats feeling lower lat pull @ 3 sec count a rep
    Reverse Grip much lighter
    15 reps @ 75
    10 reps @ 75
    05 reps @ 90
Machine Rows 2 grip positions lateral and transverse
    14 reps @ 150
    10 reps @ 150
    07 reps @ 175 transverse
    05 reps @ 150 transverse
    15 reps @ 100 lateral
    10 reps @ 90 lateral
I finished off these sets after a 5 min break with more super sets at a lighter weight until failure.

When I exited the gym I saw Purple Halo's
    •Food
    Protein Bar for Breakfast
    Protein Shake mid morning snack
Ground Beef and salad for lunch - don't ask. Its what I had
    Protein Shake Late Afternoon
Spaghetti with Marinara for dinner - the carbohydrates felt great (it gave me a rush and I felt great afterwards)
Will probably end the night with some Casein that I have or some Lucky Charms.
sitting at 2300 calories before late snack.
    •Supps.
1 serving of Magnum Acid before 3 "major" meals
1 serving of Magnums Heat Before Breakfast and another before workout
    Post workout Anabolic Halo

•Anabolic Halo- I have to say that I feel pumped much faster during my workouts and they last a bit longer than usual. My chest was fluttering a little the other day but I look forward to that after a "good" workout. The taste is great and I am starting to get asked questions about the product. I look forward to drinking this after a workout. I get it in within 5 minutes of completing my workout. Even though I have changed my routine and have hit it hard in the gym. I still have not been as sore for as long as I have been since taking this product. It makes me want to work harder to feel the pain of growing.

I try not to count but that's next to impossible. When its feeling super heavy I automatically try to squeeze at least 10 but that's just an imaginary number. With Bench I can feel that "about to get pinned feeling" and that's the last rep. I have been pinned with 135 before going to failure and that sucks. With shrugs, I may have 100lb DB's and feel like the back of my neck is about to split apart if I try for a few more. That's when I decrease the weight. I may aim for 10 but only get 7 or less.

With shrugs, I may have 100lb DB's and feel like the back of my neck is about to split apart if I try for a few more. That's when I decrease the weight. I may aim for 10 but only get 7 or less.
That seems pretty intense. I don't think I have it in me to try and go all the way to failure. Especially since I workout with no one around.

    •Shoulders
Reverse Overhead DB Laterals pyramid the weight again up to failure starting with 22.5lbs DB up to the 45lbs /superset down
Did this again but didn't go down as light as 15lbs. Made it back down to 22.5's and started thinking about the ol' rotator cuff.
    22.05 x 1 @ 30reps
    25.00 x 3 @ 30, 20, 15
    35.00 x 2 @ 20,15
    45.00 x 2 @ 10,7
    22.05 x 1 @ 5
Standing Lateral raises I used caution and went for 3 sets of 10 with 30's
    Repped Machine Laterals
    80lbs for about 15reps
    110 for 10 x 2 sets
    75lbs for 15 reps
