Cheat meal = Flatter Stomach
So I've been cutting at 10% less than my maintenance for the past 3 weeks. The cravings finally got to me last night and I caved, having a cheat meal last night of approx. 1,728 calories (I know pretty weak). The meal consisted of: Cheesy garlic bread, buffalo wings, calamari, pork sausage, beef ribs, pork ribs, lamb ribs, deep fried chips and to top it all off hazelnut chocolate mousse. Tasted pretty amazing I must admit and I walked out of the restaurant waddling.
The weird thing is this morning I woke up and my stomach was flat as anything. Abs peaking through (currently 13% bf) and generally my abdomen was looking pretty good.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Have a nutritional blowout and wake up looking great?

One meal wont ruin all your previous 3 weeks of dieting - sounds like a fantastic feed though! Good luck moving forward with your cutting goals.

Perhaps you experienced a "whoosh". Your body flushed out the water your fat cells were holding, in turn allowing you to actually see the fat you've lost.

I hadn't thought of that but it does make sense, considering it was a shock to the system after being in a deficit for so long. Just thought it was an interesting observation and thought id see if anyone else had noticed it.

The cheat meal had nothing to do with it. You're coincedentally seeing results of your previous week's dieting. Your body doesn't react overnight to these things.
Yes I'm 60 and no I'm not on HGH or Test
Abs are made in the gym and exposed in the kitchen.
Everything you do in the gym has a cost, but not everything necessarily has a benefit."

Like I said it was only an observation. Thought it was interesting.

Considering most of the meal was meat i doubt i hit enough of a carb surplus for that to happen. I thought that also so i worked out an estimate of macros for the meal and got >100g protein, >100g fat and only about 90g carbs.

has no use for a name
It's pretty common. I cut down to 170 and didn't gorge in food for 4 months.. On my Bday I decided to eat everything under the sun for one night and woke up the next day at 168.... and looked more cut than ever.
Learning something new here every single day... and I'm still not sure if I understand : /
