Oh cool another DJ. Intro beats into outro beats. Intro beats into outro beats. Intro beats into outro beats. Half the breaks in these songs would kill any dancefloor. Transitions are "alright" but it's not really difficult when it's just mixing intros and outros. Do you play with levels at all? It's decent, transitions work and you can beatmatch (granted I'm not sure what platform you're using, for all I know you're on auto-sync or VDJ). You could work house parties and decent gym lists. But it doesn't really do much for me.
Srs brah where's the creativity. There's no progression or flow, energy just builds and dies, then builds and dies, then builds and dies.

Keep at it, it's definitely a fun hobby. I'm by far the best, but I took off pretty rapidly, unfortunately the area I'm in is saturated with club DJ's. Depending on what you use, cue points are your friends, and don't be afraid to mix out of songs before the end. You can help "control" the noise through your levels, pulling out bass from the original to introduce the new track, etc etc.
Most EDM music is structurally the same, typically you know what to expect without needing to physically see a waveform. Builds are usually x amount of measures, "drops" or whatever the term is for it these days are also X amount of measures. Usually intros are 4-8 measures, along with drops, etc etc.
Did some mixing with a buddy of mines who's a club DJ and producer around here, and quite good at it. He was basically cutting songs that was smooth as fuark without letting any of them go into a break. He was just hammering out non-stop high energy. It would absolutely devastate a club (excessively), but it's one way to avoid what I call the rollercoaster effect, where you have the first build, then the drop, then a build, then a drop and the set forever takes on this "up and down" effect.
It's true people need a break, so you build energy and have to let it fade off at some point (especually in a club scenario, you want people drinking, only way they do that is to leave the floor now and then). Don't be afraid to skip around cue points, or drop breaks from one song into another to kind of cut out the dull intro. Alot of trance/progessive songs have a "higher" energy drop in the last half of the song, but the two breaks are similar enough that you can let the intro play, then cue into the second break on time and hit the listener with the second drop. A good example of this is Arty, Matisse and Sadko's "Trio" the second drop is far better than the first, but the breaks are the same. Or Afrojacks "No Beef".
Such an addicting hobby, that feel when you "get into the zone".

I definitely have a long way to go. Experimenting more and more with things.

Originally had them on soundcloud but they started flagging mixes for "copyright" **** so I switched over to Mixcloud. (Soundcloud's Canadian policies mean Mixes are illegal).
The Classic Trance/Progressive mix was the first Mix I recorded about 4 months ago
The Open Format one I did about 3 months ago.
The Wedding Rager one is pretty ****e and I recorded it yesterday, I'm unhappy with alot of mixes in it. The attempt to drop Language in on the break was beyond atrocious. I cringe everytime I fcking hear it. I was spinning it at a bridal show so I was helping alot of clients / customers and people who were generally interested in what I was doing, had a problem with the mixer because the last guy that took the macbook ****ed up the seratto library and all the gains resulted in the mixer's channels going into "red", made it difficult to get a good read on volumes when "dropping" songs into on beat. (Resulted in a horrible transition into Million voices). Should make it clear that I dropped Tidal Wave in at the end because my buddy was going to step onto the decks. Tidal wave is like 87 BPM or something awkward as hell, I wanted to see him struggle out of it hahaha, I'm aware that's the most "iPod" Thing in the entire mix.
