High Waisted Figure Suits - Rules - NPC

I see that all figure girls wear high-waisted bottoms but I dont see anywhere on the NPC website that this is required. Are high-waisted bottoms a rule or a preference?

Are you talking about the leg straps that go over the obliques? I suppose it is preference, but you won't find a figure girl not wearing that style. It shows off the waistline and legs much better than a bikini cut which can make your hips look wide. The only rule for figure suits is that the bottoms must be modest (i.e. no thongs).

The higher the leg is cut, the longer your's will look. It's a dated look, but it really is flattering to lean bodies.

Wearing a bikini suit then would work to my disadvantage? Maybe I could be a trend setter! It really is just dated feeling. I don't know if I would feel comfortable in it.

You will not place well in a bikini bottom if doing figure as the bikini is not flattering and detracts from the look the judges desire.

True the suits are very revealing, but once you are glued in it feels much better as it won't travel up the wazoo.

Yes because it give the illusion of a smaller waist, helps to make your back look wider from the rear and a longer leg. You won't get that wearing a bikini bottom.
