I never got a flu shot before.
I haven't had a bad flu for years.
So I'll probably get it this year.

The drawstring on my shorts had been pulled in to the elastic on one side and I just fed it all the way back through. This has given me a greater sense of accomplishment than my latest bench PR.

45 minute phone that was originally supposed to be under half an hour, and I made her laugh more than once. I get to meet her in person tomorrow.
Assessment test in the morning (for a tech support call center). Benefits package explained and "What do you think? Pretty generous, right?"....and I haven't had a background check yet or an offer to hire. Dressing up for a phone interview is not so weird. Potential 20 mile commute. /thishasbeenacollegejobrecruitmentreport

Well you could build it now, see if you like it and if so clean it up and sell it for enough profit probably to build a new one? I think it's a somewhat easy to sale item. You put 100 or so in it and can make up to $250 fairly easily, since the platforms I've seen (even used) are typically still demanding $300+ around here.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪

Is Bud Light Platinum a beer you have to try before you die? Because, if it is, then I'll probably try it sooner than later.

Good luck with that.
Be prepare to deal with some real idiots (colleagues and end users). I've done tech support via a call center for a few years. I've done Compaq and Pacific Bell DSL.
A prime example: this guy called with no sound. He was told (by one of our techs) to reformat and reinstall Windows 98 when he just needed to plug in his speakers.

Another one was this guy who managed to shove 20 blank CDs into the little space between CD drives.
And this lady was surprised to see *another* CD drive when I told her to open the plastic access door (that many early Presarios were notorious for having). "I didn't know I had one."
And during our training, we were shown an example of what NOT to do. Someone posted in a newsgroup that he talked to Jack Kemp on the phone... Let's just say that person didn't make it very far. I don't remember if the former Congressman filed charges or anything.

Do you pronounce close and clothes the same? Or clothes enough that if you said one instead of the other, in context, nobody would notice the difference?

When I say close, I make a soft z sound more. Clothes, yeah, I pronounce the th, but pretty softly also.
The adjective, close, separates them just enough.

edit: If clothes comes after either, then I pronounce the 'th'.
If I pair the noun with the verb (I closed my clothes drawer), then the th comes through. If I pair the adjective with the noun (my clothes are close to my body), then it's a faint th.
