Yes I would have estimated less than half of that. I'm holding calorie intake constant, just wanted to see how the "burn" numbers on this compare to what I have been estimating on myfitnesspal.
Supposedly it also monitors sleep cycles, so that should be interesting.

Have you ever gotten a heart rate monitor? I'm not sure exactly what you're using, but if it functions like a heart rate monitor, I think that is about as accurate as you're going to get without being in some lab.

But I can usually burn like 100 calories per ten minutes and I only walk (albeit, quickly). Depending how fast paced your workouts are, I could see you hitting 800 calories for weights & cardio.

And they like fat vampire chicks that ride.

I was talking to a guy in my spinning class last night about that exact thing. He says he uses the bodybug and the Garmin. The bodybug always seems higher with calories burned. I think as long as you are not giving yourself back those calories, it shouldn't matter.

Does it also track your sleep?

It does track sleep, and I plan to use it tonight.

I have used a heart rate monitor, but it didn't calculate calorie burn. This estimate is probably close to what the machines say I'm burning, I've just never believed those numbers (seem high).

Sounds like my 15 year old nephew. Very little muscle tone and weak. Spends his free time playing that RoBlox game. He talks about nothing but that game and WWE.

You'll notice kids like that have to walk by sticking their knees out sideways to help keep them up. The really hip cool kids add to their ghetto fashion sense a baseball cap and hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over the cap.

yeah, he's a gamer and not very athletic. And he loves to eat.

The jeans were fairly new, he is just getting heavier in the waist. He is 5'10" and weighs about 170-175. We are not naturally thin people and he just needs to realize that we have to work at being fit and trim (no dog food).
