RANT: The Clone Wars

My main two issues with it:

1. The sheer amount of garbage on there makes it difficult to find what you're looking for. Search for an F1 video and you'll get a whole bunch of simulation videos.

2. Commercials now play before almost every video and many of them can't be skipped. I use Chrome and my guess is Google wouldn't allow a plugin that circumvents their money making machine.

I wouldn't mind the ads if behind it there was a quality website. It is a free service after all. But it's absolute **** at the moment. Almost unusable. Speeds, layout, content, etc.

Top Gun in IMAX 3D was fcking awesome.

Wasn't like the normal modern 3D that gives me headaches n sh!t. Very well done overall. Forgot how awesome of a movie it was.

Yeah I can say .08 is pretty high. I know one time I was out with friends for dinner. I think I had 5 drinks in 3.5-4 hours while eating. After that they started to go to the bar and I left. They all lived close by, I was 30-45 minutes of driving away from where I had to be and had no desire to to go out to a bar during the week and have to deal with any dui issues. I got pulled for speeding and the cop smelled alcohol on my breath. He had me do the field sobriety test and also gave me a breathalyzer. I blew a .21. I wasn't impaired by any means and he even said there was no sign of me drunk, but he could smell it on my breath (I didn't' have any gum and had cottonmouth). But if it took that many drinks (albeit over a decent time period) to get to .21 it is pretty obvious that for many it would take quite a lot of drinks to hit .08 and there would be no question of impairment.

I have cute little books for my classes. A briefcase for my work/internship. A football for the gym.

Then in an instant I realized what I was doing, and I wanted to kill myself.

I thought the guideline was that the body can metabolize ~1 drink / hour. So, 5 drinks over 4 hours shouldn't put you anywhere near .021, unless you drank all of them in the last hour and a half or something.

No worries, it happens.

I used to be very pro-drunk driving. Just the way we came up partying in my home town. There wasn't sh*t for public transportation (no trains/subways, buses stopped at like 11pm and no cabs). When I finally got my DUI, I figured my luck finally ran out. It was a wake up call though. If I go out now, there is either alternative means of transportation (cabs, trains, walk) or a DD in place or a person who might have a few drinks over the night but isn't partying down like the others. I don't enjoy it, but I've been that person. I'll have a couple drinks early in the night wtih everyone, then I'll walk up to the bartender, tip him like $20 and tell him to keep me filled up with soda or water.

hahah I could definitely see that going bad. Tucker Max even wrote a story about a time he had a travel breathalyzer that became the hit at the bar. There was a competition to get the highest.

Various friends would always bring up having one at the house so people would know if they're good to drive home. I think my mom even suggested it once, I was like, "are you trying to get me killed? You do realize that that would merely give us goals/records to beat, right?"

The time might've been closer to 3, it was back in summer of '08 so I'm not completely confident in the numbers. I had an empty stomach before eating the food there adn the last drink I had was a round of shots that they ordered.

I once blew .02 after drinking 12 beers. My buddy got pulled over, blew a warning, so the cops asked if either of myself or our other buddy could drive. I asked if we'd get in sh!t if we blew over (like a drunk dumbass). Cop laughed and said no. I had to drive home because I blew the lowest.
