if next weekend is dry like this one I might fire up the grill. Love making grilled burgers, think I'm going to even try to pick out a cut and have the butcher grind it just before I leave. All the "purest" say that's the best way to go.

Same idea, different brand name. Lost my George Foreman grill in my second divorce.
Bought my GF a Cuisinart Griddler for Christmas this year. It's more functional.
The cooking surface is reversible so it can be a flat griddle or a grill surface, and you can use it flat open or close it. It's great for making Panini's.Insta: flexjs

New Australian built car for US market (will be sold as Chevy SS and also race in NASCAR). Yay or nay?

If the Holden Monero aka Pontiac GTO never caught on I'm not sure why that would.

It looks fine to me.
I think the Manero got too much hate by the GTO zealots (and rightfully so, since Pontiac f*cked up labeling a perfectly good car the same thing as an iconic vehicle from yesteryear).-

i love the HUD on my car, but I have a feeling that we might be talking about different things.
The HUD i'm referring to is an actual display projected onto my windshield that shows a digital version of my tach and the mph. But, if that is becoming more prevalent on cars now a days, then I think that is awesome.-

Yes, the projected display.
I don't like this airplane/car fusion crap.
I don't know, maybe I'm being Voxy.

No.
It's redundant.
The same information is a few inches below on the actual display console.

If it helps give the car a more premium feel in a market saturated with European cars, then I can understand why they're doing it.
They've added a whole bunch of safety features which are overkill for most of us but then there are a lot of lazy drivers who love gimmicks. Over the past couple of years they've lost the top spot in sales to Mazda so this is really the last roll of the dice to convince Australians to buy large sedans when the trend for families is an SUV for weekends and a smaller car to drive to work and do small trips.
Personally I don't need frills like automatic lights or rain sensing wipers. I don't want a car to tell me if I'm going to hit something or depart from a lane. Seatbelt alarms already annoy me. I leave traction control on and I like having a reverse camera just in case a kid could be standing behind my car in a parking lot, but that's where it ends.

I like it. Same information or not. I don't have to drop my eyes down to the dash. Easier to get the info I want while remaining focused no the road.
lol I think we only prefer a couple of the same things.
The auto lights I don't need, but they are actually awesome. Just leave the switch and forget about it. The wipes aren't great, but are nice. Mainly I like some of BMW's features for wipers. They'll come to an intermittent wiping when you pull to a stop and will speed up some when at speed.
I dont' like the reverse cameras, but I like what my car has, just has an image with the sensor areas displayed on the screen on the dash. Works better for me. Seatbelt alarms can lick my MFing taint!
As can traction control systems.-
