We e-filed too...still may not get it till March. We'll have to see. Apparently there is something about the education credit not be eligible for the immediate/automatic e-filing deal.

You mean that thing he claimed to do "all the time" but there were not pictures/evidence of it so he went out and did it, after making that claim, to generate the photo? The photo where he is target shooting with a 2 shot shotgun and thinks that proves that he believes in the Second Amendment? lol
Can't tell about aim based solely on that picture.
It's making the rounds. Here are a few.

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm going with TurboTax or freetaxusa.com
I mean is either actually going to get more of a refund than the other? Ours is pretty straight forward. Other than the house interest/property tax we have nothing else to input.

Yes, I e-file and use direct deposit. Also, if you have asset depreciation for sole proprietor businesses (i.e. my photography business) you get to wait extra because the IRS says so.

Mostly because of deductions, depreciation, write-offs, etc... My employer typically tries *not* to give more to the IRS during the year than a semi-comfortable cushion so you aren't hit with a big payment come tax time.

lulz! I had to pay $16 ($16!!!!!) last year. This year, in a large part because of asset depreciation, I am getting ~$5,600 back.

You might consider getting a business license and running a home office. You can deduct a percentage of your home costs as long as you use that office for business. I deducted ~24% of my bills, i.e. electric, gas, etc, because my home office is a pretty sizable part of my home.
edit: you can also deduct a portion of those roof expenses

Also mileage.. depending on what he does. Mileage is huge, the home office is a nice too deduction too, I think it's based mostly on square footage, at least that's what the fellas always ask about.

Yep good point re: miles.
The square footage is a ratio of home office vs. total home size.
