Mentioned to my mom about the flooding in Australia.
She goes "oh, well they had all those forest fires, they could probably use it."

Swapped around some Outlook settings in my corporate inbox, and now I'm watching as all of my e-mails from the past several months are disappearing one by one into the abyss of unknown Microsoft Exhange insanity.
wtf...
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see.

Either you have archives setup locally or your company has group policies (in Exchange) set up to archive or move emails after a certain amount of time. My employer has that time as about 6 months. You may be able to look under Folders for past emails.

Sam Adam lagers aren't bad. Neither are their ales. Their darker beers are quite nice.

Yeah I've seen that, but that wasn't what happened here. Turns out it has something to do with "delegation" of one account to another. Working on a rotating schedule requires a somewhat unique e-mail setup: when you alternate with another person (both in the same job) you don't want to share personal e-mail, so we each have our own personal accounts and we share one business account.
Somehow all of my personal messages just got moved over to the business account. Ah well at least I didn't lose em.

Ah, multiple accounts under the same outlook instance. Yeah, that can get confusing quickly. Especially when you got rules setup incorrectly.

Rules are great! Just sucks when people don't use them in a standard way. e.g. I like to put "INFORM" or "ACTION" on the subject line as the first word so people who use rules can have the Exchange server route messages they receive with "ACTION" to an important folder and the ones that say "INFORM" to the trash bin

How much would it cost to fly and get it? This seems to might be a viable alternative.
