Whats up with him now? He had really bad kidney issues and Farah got him on cystone and liv 52 and apparently it was like a medical miracle. The doctors told him he cant continue bodybuilding at one point and told him to stop. Did his recovery last, I havent heard anything since I read that article.

Depends what is on sale. I've worked for a while and have a good amount saved up, but still like to penny pinch as I still have to pay for both my masters and eventually my doctorate(although most doctorate programs are paid for by working for the university). Still have 6+ years ahead of me without a 'real' job so I like to keep as much in my back pocket as possible. I know a guy that works for a meat distribution company and he can occasionally get me good deals on large quantities, but it is only every once in a while and it sucks finding some place to store all that meat.

It's conceivably pretty easy to hit that amount if you compete. I don't really get the whole red meat thing though. Yeah yeah yeah it's the closest thing to human muscle tissue. Fact is, there's guys out there that don't eat 4 lbs of meat a day. I was always a believer of varying protein sources throughout the course of the day.
When I competed i ate eggs, chicken, red meat, and whey every day. Sometimes I would sub some fish in for the red meat since the macro breakdown is pretty close.
I'd probably have eaten 120 lbs. of meat a month if I substituted the eggs, chicken, and whey with more red meat."There are no victims, only volunteers. You volunteer by looking uncertain and afraid. I'm with Loctus on this one. For social, ethical and economical reasons it's not cool to eat so much meat. But even if you put that aside, there are tons of other, cheaper and equally tasty sources of protein. Not only powders, but natural ones too.
Quark (that's more of a European thing though, I believe), cottage cheese, greek yoghurt, eggs, cheese etc.
I eat 400-500gr protein per day and barely 50gr of it is meat/poultry. I guess, however, it would be a different thing if I didn't like milk products as much.Sports Therapy- & Prevention Major - University of Potsdam
