[Not sure if this should be here, but it seems like the best fit]
I've searched the internet for quite a bit, but did not come up with much.
I intend to start weightlifting regimen to achieve a stronger looking figure. However, before I make (arguably) irreversible changes to my body...
I have a question for everyone: is weightlifting even worth it anymore? I hear the thin is in in most places (even ribs slightly showing is not that bad)... it also seems like a BMI of 21 or less is really sought after in terms of what women want.
I currently barely fit in 32 inch jeans (they fall down on me). Would you prefer my physique (see avi?), or that of a 165 lb. lifter? I know this site may seem to be a bit biased, but, I guess my main question is this: how has your sex life (or even your personal attractiveness to others) improved or became worse after you made a body transformation?

definitely worth it to lift. no one wants to date a guy who they think they`ll break. skinny guys arent cute, unless youre like 13.
good luck!<<<***Boston Misc Crew***>>> ♣ BOSTON STRONG ♣

Hi.
Yes, definitely lift weights.
I will tell you,
skinny women who have ribs showing are not attractive.
A nicely built woman with well developed hips makes blood leave my brain and go down into my pants.
As i have gotten heavier and more muscular,
i get more smiles and nice looks from women,
in turn i am hornier and have more erections,
physically i feel better in almost every way.
I will say again, yes, start lifting weights.

My honest opinion. Work out alil and dont get to crazy with it. Ur body isnt done growing till your like 21-22 anyways. So try not to compress your spine or else youll end up shorter than what u should be. And from vertically every girl i know they all say a they want a man who looks like he can take protect her. Not many like a skinny guy unless thats thier thing. But best advice i could really give is do what makes you happy. For you. The girls will come on their own. And they will be the kind of girls You like
becuase after all you got their attention just being you.

Guess TS wants to know girls' opinions eh.. You are just 17, make some muscles, stay lean and symmetry as a package Everyone should lift, depends individual preference how do you wanna look like..

your an idiot op, you should be working out and dieting for health reasons first and to be sure you are taking care of your body for youself! why are so concerned with what people think of you and how you look? Good luck finding a person who will love you if you only think of other people and dont love yourself

The changes to your body will not be irreversible. If you wanna reverse them, just stop lifting but eat healthy and do cardio so as to stay lean.
Anyways, i dunno what girls like but they seem to like guys who are fit, but it ain't like they're gonna stay away from you for bein skinny (unless you're like anorexic or something)

Def. lift weights. You will feel better physically and mentally. There is nothing wrong with getting stronger! Lifting keeps you young also.... The true fountain of youth!
Lift bro! Eat well, lift hard and you will see the transformation with time. Take it one step at a time.... You will be impressed by the results.

My personal Goal, I have been training just over two years. Started to compete this year. I think the new IFBB 212 class is perfect.
For girls
I like a lil more muscle, but not to much. A girl that can hang in the gym and push some weight. I think the phyic IFBB class is flawless.Bench 315lbs x 12
Squat 500lbs
Dead Lift 425
