Thanks. I bought the template here: http://themeforest.net/item/karma-cl...emplate/234990
And then I wrote the PHP/MySQL code to make the website work the way I wanted (i.e. user login, quiz, payment although I cancelled the payment gateway/ssl stuff, and all the dynamic stuff), made the logo, changed some stuff around, etc.

I'll repeat myself and say that web development is a much better skill than EE. With web development you can create a website business when you think of an idea and ceo 10k/day. No matter how far you progress in EE, you'll always be a slave to an employer or you'll create your own EE business and work your ass off and die early from heart problems.

yeah thats a helluva tip man. I have been navigating the career stuff successfully for a while now, but that tip just seems GOLDEN
also i find this thread amusing because in the current climate it's not as easy to be able to drag a company around like that. it's awesome.
and I agree that the Jr title is gay in most cases. if you can shed it, it will work for you in the future. the next hiring company will use that Jr sht as a reason to offer less money, or even look at the candidate in a different light***Gender Non-Committed***

Lmao, if you think making 60k a year is poverty you are a ****ing dumbass. A man does not need that much money to live comfortable. Unless you've been sold that horse **** that you need a large house and an expensive car and high quality clothing to be comfortable. ****ing North America, a ****ing joke.

Interesting thread. OP, who do you create websites for? Other companies? Or do you think up of a business idea, and create a website off that?

Well, I negotiated $50k up to $60k with another company and they have a 32 hour work week. Probably going to tell the $60k company that I originally made this thread that I'm peacing out unless they offer like $70k.
$29/hr vs. $36/hr basically.Last edited by AnorexicBodyBro; 01-17-2013 at 09:48 AM.
